Katrina spoke up as everyone got up to leave
"Cass hasn't mentioned it so I will" she began "I'd just like to thank you all for what you're doing to help Jay"
"Yeah, sorry" Cass interjected
"I... We really appreciate your efforts" Katrina continued "Thank you all"
"Well..." Jaxx shrugged in the awkward silence that followed "He's, like, one of us, isn't he?"
"Okay..." Cass stood "Jamie, Katrina: We need to reconfigure a few psi-scanners; everyone else grab whatever you think we'll need for the expedition; we meet in Hangar G in... what? Three hours?"

Jaxx and Evelina left the meeting with the others to get their gear ready. As they were walking down the hallway Jaxx asked, "So Eve babe is their like anything you suggest we bring? I kinda don't remember what we did last time and I kinda think we were like totally unprepared." Evelina smiled as she said, "Yeah I know I had mere seconds to get ready myself. Well we will need some combat clothes, survival gear, non perishable foods, some weapons and what ever scanning tech we can find." Jaxx perked up as he said, "Wow Eve babe you totally know your stuff."

As Jaxx and Evelina entered their quarters Evelina grabbed some items as Jaxx picked up his chains from the last mission and wore them like bandoliers. Jaxx pulled out his holowhips and tested them before putting them back into his back holster. Then Jaxx turned to Evelina and said, "I'm ready Eve babe." Evelina raised an eyebrow at Jaxx with a smirk on her face as she said, "I see you prefer to pack light. Well since you still owe me for being a perv you can carry my extra pack." Jaxx blushed as he nervously rubbed his neck and said, "Uhh I guess you like remember that huh?" Evelina smiled as she said, "Oh yes mister and don't think your gonna be off the hook anytime soon."

Jaxx blushed red with embarrassment as he had trouble looking at Evelina in the face. Evelina realized Jaxx took her seriously so she walked over to him and hugged him and whispered, "Jaxx remember your promise not to die?" Jaxx hugged Evelina back and whispered, "Yes Eve babe I meant it." Evelina whispered, "I'm gonna hold you to it." Jaxx nodded silently as he embraced the calm feeling he got from the hug before Evelina stepped back.

Jaxx looked at Evelina and asked, "So what do we need now?" Evelina answered, "Well now we need to scavenge for gear. I know some of the old crew-mates had some decent gear we can use and some of vending machines that have nonperishable foods. Do you know where we can get some other gear Jaxx?" Jaxx nodded as he said nervously, "Ummm yeah I kinda do but please don't use the computers there and open the freezer." Evelina said, "Fair enough. So where is it?" Jaxx looked down and answered, "My old lab." Evelina saw Jaxx was nervous about the topic as she said, "I won't pry the subject Jaxx. We can go get the gear and move on since we only have three hours."
