Re: OSO Message Pt 2 (White Wolf\'s rescue)

Drive Room
"We're getting an OSO" Alota shouted over the drive room
"What the hell's an OSO?" Kayn asked, rushing over to the
communications
"It's just saying OSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSO over and over again, it's
coming from somewhere in deep space"
"What could OSO stand for?"
Two minutes later they both realised that is was an SOS not an OSO...
"It's from White Wolf!"
"He's still alive?" Kayn asked
"Seems like it...we've got to pick him up somehow"
"Efof! Come with me...we're taking the Valkyrie out again, and get
one of the medical team to come with us. Alota, send out a message to
White Wolf that we're on the way. Someone else take command until
Nipels gets here. Oh, and Efof, when I say medical team, I mean
someone that won't treat suffocation with ointment"
Twenty minutes later the Valkyrie was scouting the area for a six
foot one inch hamster. Kayn was somehow, luckily, avoiding the rocks.
Efof was trying to keep in touch with Blue Dwarf, whilst Nurse Hazel
Coffey checked the medical gear
"Are you sure he's here?" Efof shouted down the comms radio
"That's where the signal was last registered. It stopped four minutes
ago..."
"You think a six foot tall rodent would stick out like a sore
thumb..." Kayn muttered, boosting the Valkyrie through the debris.
Clipping a few rocks, he noticed something.
"Is that him?" Coffey asked as the floating wreckage loomed into view
"Better be..." Kayn said as he zoomed towards the destroyed vehicle.
Sure enough, it was White Wolf's. A picture came onscreen of what
appeared to be a Holly with ginger hair and lipstick.
"Who the hell?" Kayn asked
"Well it's about time you lot showed up! He passed out five minutes
ago!" Holly2 screamed.

Kayn glanced around the wreckage of the little ship, "Holly? Does
White Wolf have a space suit on?"
"No, He does not." Replied Holly 2.
"Mmm, since there seems to be a lot of damage to the ship, our
linking up with it is out of the question. We'd risk total
decompression. Perhaps we could tow her in. Hold on Holly, we're
going to attach a towing cable! Efof, get into your spacesuit, your
going have to go outside and attach the cable to White Wolf's ship."
Holly 2 interrupted, "What a minute! White Wolf's coming around
again, He's been delirious from blood loss for the past fifteen
minutes, but I might be able to get through to him enough for him to
help you tow. Just give me a moment."
Inside the ship, the huge hamster was half dreaming of a nice
vacation while sailing on the ocean, and he suddenly heard holly 2's
voice "White Wolf? Can you hear me? Kayn needs you to extend the
ships towing cable, can you do that?"
The overgrown hamster half woke, and replied through Holly 2's comm.
link with the Valkyrie "Aye, Aye, Captain Kayn! Bringing in the main
sail and dropping anchor!"
The huge hamster reached over to a nearby console, and flipped two
switches. When the first switch flipped, the consoles screen
flashed "Transcendental mode disengaged; Normal reality mode
engaged." and a hatch suddenly appeared in the cockpit floor. And
when the second switch was flipped, the screen read "Magnetic towing
clamp and cable deployed." Outside the ship, a cable ending in a very
large magnetic clamp shot out toward the Valkyrie. It connected with
a ringing metal *THUNK* just above Efof's view port.
"I told you he was delirious! But, he seems to have put out the
towing clamp, I think we're ready to go, Kayn." intoned Holly2.
"Wow, am I glad he wasn't thinking you were asking him to play
asteroids. Because that was some anchor, It's almost bigger than me!"
Remarked Efof while eyeing the magnetic clamp near his view port.
"Alright, we've got a towing cable, so let's bring her back to the
Blue Dwarf!" said Kayn while powering up the Valkyrie, and slowly
piloting out of the asteroid debris with White Wolf's little ship in
tow.
Nearly twenty tense minutes later Kayn was carefully setting the
little ship down on the Blue Dwarf's hanger deck.
With the gravity returned, White Wolf thumped to the floor, and
exclaimed "Land HO!!!' And with his eyes crossing, he glanced at his
cockpit hatch, and muttered "I ought to batten down that hatch!" and
typed the computer code to close and lock it, but unfortunately
because he cross eyed at the moment, he reversed it unlocking and
opening the hatch instead.
Kayn quickly set down the Valkyrie, while Efof and Nurse Coffey
quickly exited and ran over to the little ships open hatch.
Efof and Coffey glanced in, and White Wolf picks his head up off the
floor and smiles at them while weakly saying "Oh, Hi! I didn't know
we were having a beach party. You should've told me, I could've put
on my swimming trunks..." and then he passed out again.
Coffey climbed up inside, and quickly examined the huge hamster, and
then she called to Efof outside. "He's very dehydrated, he's lost a
good quantity of blood, and his entire left side is pretty lacerated
and swollen. We better bring him in on a stretcher just in case he
has any spinal injuries. We're going to need a few strong people to
help carry him into medical."
"Right. I'll be back in a moment." Replies Efof, and goes off to find
a stretcher.
Coffey quickly sets to work on performing what first aid she can
while waiting for Efof to return with the stretcher.
A few minutes later, Jackson, Donover, Efof and Kayn return with the
stretcher and help Nurse Coffey carefully load onto it the six foot
one inch hamster swathed in bandages.
Moments later, they carry White Wolf into the medi-bay. Tara meets
them and directs them to the scanner she recently cleared off. White
Wolf comes around again, and notices Katrina cleaning up the mess on
the floor with a mop and weakly raises his head to say to
her "Katrina, you don't need to clean up my mess! I can do it..."
And the huge hamster tries to get up, but Nurse Coffey quickly
restrains him, "Tara, can you give me a hand? We need to start an IV
drip and give him some sedatives immediately! He's one patient who
won't stay down, Tiny was barely able to prevent him from getting off
the stretcher several times on the way up here."
