Now, I like Cassandra, and I like Katrina; but which is better...?
Who: Cassandra and Katrina
Where: The Captains quarters
When: While the Mimes are boarding the 'Dwarf
<ooc>A joint post between us two Andy L's</ooc>
<snip>
"I can explain this!" Cass began
</snip>
Katrina's eyes were wide with fury. Bad enough that this stripper had been
turning up in every aspect of her boyfriends life ever since she came aboard,
but now, here she was in the wardrobe, of their shared quarters, all but naked!
And with a gun!
There was only one explanation that she could see.
She wanted Jay to herself and was going to get Katrina out of the picture first
- then seduce him when he came home!
She said nothing, just screeched something unintelligible and lunged at
Cassandra, shoving her back into the wardrobe and making her drop the gun. Now
on top of the dancer, she straddled her and wrestled her to the ground.
"I'm ending this once and for all!" she squealed, as her towel slipped down onto
the ground.
If Jay had walked in now, he'd probably pass out from all the blood in his head
rapidly descending....elsewhere...
"I... Aargh!" Cass managed as Katrina punched her in the mouth, splitting her
bottom lip, and making her cry out in pain
Another blow quickly rained down, glancing off Cass' cheek, and then another to
the temple, nearly stunning her into insensibility
Still straddling Cassandra, Katrina grabbed a fist full of the other woman's
hair as Cass moaned in pain beneath her, suddenly and uncomfortably aware of
both her and Katrina's nakedness
'Aw, smeg. Please don't let her be getting turned on by this...' Cass mentally
pleaded, as she groped around on the floor for the gun
Holding Cass' head steady, Katrina pulled a fist back for a heavy blow, as Cass'
hand closed around a shoe which she swung wildly up towards Katrina's head,
connecting with a satisfying smack.
Katrina howled in pain, and reflexively rolled off Cass, clutching her forehead
as she tried to crawl away.
Kicking at the other woman as she retreated, Cass succeeded in scoring a nasty
scratch down one of Katrina's thighs with her heels, before she scrambled
upright, still clutching the shoe; absently noting it was a nice kitten heel, as
her adversary in turn rose to her feet to face her, hand still clutched to her
forehead
"Smeg's sake you stupid bitch. I don't ..." Cass started, her voice bubbling
through her thick, bloodied lip as Katrina pulled her hand away from her
forehead to reveal a small freely bleeding bloody square punched into the skin
in the middle of her forehead by the shoes heel
'Ooh, nasty' Cass thought, pursing her lips 'That'll scar if she's not
careful...'
Taking a second to frown down at the blood smearing her hand, Katrina bared her
teeth and threw herself back at Cass with a wild screech
"Yaaarrgh!" screeched Katrina as she charged at Cass, once again flooring her as
her entire body flew at the dancer, bowling her over, the two women wrestled
there on the floor, Katrina's blood-stained hand smearing crimson fluid all over
Cassandra's flesh. In a sudden burst of strength, Cass, managed to roll the
petite engineer over so that she was now on top, and pinned the woman's arms to
the floor so that she was unable to move.
"LISTEN!" Cass spat "You've got the WRONG idea!"
"The wrong idea?" Katrina snapped, writhing on the floor, struggling to get
free, "You were in my wardrobe, practically naked and armed with an illegal
weapon" Cassandra looked a little sheepish at the last comment "..yeah I
noticed!..." Katrina responded to Cass' expression, before continuing "it's
pretty clear why you're here! You want me out of the picture so you can have
Jay, what is it, the power? His money?!" Katrina was referring to the money and
property Jay had inherited from Alota, but Cassandra didn't know about this,
sure she'd figured he was fairly well paid, but not in any way that would
attract gold-diggers.
"Honey" Cassandra replied, in a patronising tone "If I wanted Captain Chrysler
for myself, I wouldn't need to kill you to get him..."
Salter mustered all of her strength and pushed up against Cassandra, lifting her
off of her. Cass lost her balance as she reared back on her heels, and fell
against Jay's Xbox, smashing it. If Jay had seen this, he'd be in tears for
weeks.
"Well, if you're not after Jay, what are you doing here? And why do you keep
hanging around him like a bad...."
Katrina was interrupted by a blow to the head, Cassandra stood up as Katrina
toppled to the floor unconscious. She raised her hands to defend herself from
Katrinas attacker, who now moved toward her, but she was too late. The mime
rendered her unconscious with a single blow.
Both women came round at roughly the same time, both now fortunately, but rather
less stylishly dressed in orange prison uniforms, and locked away together in a
prison cell.
"Well that's just perfect..." Cassandra muttered.
Katrina groaned and rolled over from where she had been unceremoniously dumped
on the floor, and clutched her head
"Ow" she moaned "What happened last night?"
"Two heavy blows to the head, in your case" Cass grated
Katrina turned, narrowing her eyes as she regarded the dancer evenly
"Oh, it's you" she sneered, letting the words hang icily
Cass just curled her swollen lip, and stood up with a groan to look around the
cramped cell that they were in
The facilities were basic to say the least, consisting of just an uncomfortable
looking bunk bed and a bucket, crowded into a space only just over two metres by
two meters
"Bags the top bunk, roomie" Cass smirked, pulling herself up the creaking bed
to the sit on the thin mattress at the top
"...Where are we?" Katrina asked quietly, dragging herself up from the floor to
pace the short distance across the room, and trying to peer though the force
field shimmering in front of the bars that covered one wall
"Well, judging by the bars and force fields, I'd say that we might just be in a
prison"
"Don't be facetious!"
"Hah! I'm surprised you even know the word!"
"Ok, that's it! I'm about ready to start where we left off..."
"Hey!" Cass held her hands up "Truce!? You were the one that asked the smegging
silly question, and besides, if we kick off here, the chances are that our
erstwhile captors will drag us off to somewhere even more unpleasant"
Fuming, Katrina scowled at the other woman, but was unable to fault her logic
"Ok" she sneered "Since you seem to have all the answers, what do we do?"
"I don't know" Cass admitted "Sit tight for now I suppose. This place looks like
it's only medium security, so they might let us out to meet some more of the
`Dwarf crew, or some of the other prisoners in whatever passes as the mess hall
or the exercise yard around here"
"Medium security!?" Katrina scoffed "How do you figure that?"
"Well, I'm guessing we're underground on account of there being no natural
light, so that puts the place a notch above low security, but given that we're
not wearing control collars, haven't had cortical detonators implanted, and that
we're not in solitary, I'd say we're not in high security either"
"They might just be holding us here while they process us..."
"Ha!" Cass smiled "I was hoping you wouldn't figure that out; I didn't want to
depress you with the idea that we might be totally screwed"
"Smegs sake." Katrina groaned "You know how to cheer someone up don't you?"
"Yeah. I'm a real laugh a minute..."
"Oh! Quiet!" Katrina hissed, leaning an ear closer to the force field "I can
hear voices"
"That'd be schizophrenia" Cass nodded sagely
"Shush!" Kat waved a hand impatiently at her
Cass rolled her eyes but sat silently, idly swinging her legs over the side of
the bed
"...Something about ...sticks!?"
"Sticks?" Cass frowned
"Hey! Who's that!?" Katrina yelled
"Smegging hell!" Cass hissed "You'll have the screws over onto us in heavy
handed swarm mode!"
"It's Tara, Keto, and the Pink Tree" a woman, evidently Tara, called back "Who's
that?"
"Tara?" Cass mouthed, quizzically to Katrina
"She's one of the ships dead crewmembers, works as a nurse" Katrina murmured,
before shouting back "It's Katrina Salter, and some stripper"
"Oh thanks!" Cass snapped indignantly "Was there really much need for... Dead,
you say?"
Katrina gave her a funny look
"Yes, why?"

Who: The Infidel
Where: Prison Planet, control room
When: At the same time Cass and Katrina regained consciousness
A pair of smooth, slim arms wound themselves sensuously down across the Infidels
chest from behind him to clasp him in an embrace, as a pair of blood red lips
kissed his cheek
"Having fun with your new toys, dear?"
Seymour grinned and looked up from the bank of monitors
"Cassandra my love, I'm so glad you could join me. How goes the Virelto
campaign?"
Cassandra threw herself down into the chair next to Seymour and grinned at him
"All dead" she said simply "We left nothing but charred corpses, and a ruined
biosphere in that system. Had to destroy it to save it; you know how it is..."
Seymour chuckled softly
"You know, I love it when you talk war crimes to me like that" he growled
"Later, bad boy" Cassandra winked and blew him a kiss before turning and peering
at the prisoners on the security monitors "Are these the ones you told me
about?"
"Yes, they are. I must admit it's a little strange to see so many of these
people together in one place; especially when we've killed most of them once
already..."
"Mmm" Cassandra grunted noncommittally "Let's see what they're saying, shall
we?"
She leaned across the control panel and flicked the audio on
"...must be; so pretending Seymour's the Infidel won't work. Can anyone else
think of any other ways we might try to escape?" Jay's voice crackled through
the speaker
"Aw, listen to them! They're trying to think of ways to escape" Cassandra smiled
"Be a love and lock the area down, just in case, would you Seymour. Oh, and prep
those scythe droids too - they'll be good for a messy giggle before we just
flood the area with stun gas when we get bored"
"Who else is here?" she continued, cycling through some of the other cameras
"Let's see, we've got Chrysler, that idiot Rufus, poor dead little Rosette,
Keto... Oh. Her."
"Who's that?" asked Seymour, leaning over
"This one." Cassandra pointed at the monitor "She's too smegging dangerous to be
allowed to mingle with the other prisoners."
"I concur" Seymour murmured
"Remove prisoner ...529701 now" Cassandra barked into a comms unit "Solitary.
Kill her if she resists"
"Oh, I don't know about killing her..." the Infidel purred "She might be useful.
After all, imagine what we could achieve with you and your other-dimensional
self working together?"
"Bloody risky, if you ask me"
"But just imagine the possibilities!" Seymour leaned forward in his chair, his
eyes shining with excitement "Think of the power! The industrial scale carnage!
The Alliance forever crushed! Imagine what we could all do in bed!!!"

Who: Cassandra, Katrina
Where: Prison Planet, Holding cells
When: During the above
"Is Tara a hard or soft light hologram?" Cass continued, ignoring Katrina's
question
"Last time I saw her, I think she was hard light. What's it matter to you?"
"Well, if she has a mark 8 or better light bee, tell her to amp up her carrier
signal and start modulating it in a Ziemann phase somewhere between nineteen and
twenty five gigahertz. It'll drain the bee's power something rotten, but at the
right frequency, she should be able to just walk through these force fields"
"Really!?" Katrina looked surprised
"Yep. Simple field physics. These are just low grade things, and were only ever
designed to keep meat bags like us in. The guards in this place need shooting
for even thinking about putting a hologram in here" Cass settled back onto the
bed and closed her eyes "Just don't tell anyone that I said so..."
<Tag Tara - let's have another post from you ;) >
