Rosette - "Arachnid Rage"
As the impact of the unknown ship hit the hull of the Blue Dwarf, a shockwave
spread across from the point of impact. Those in the deepest parts of the ship
wouldn't have even felt it, but for those in the outer areas, such as the
security offices... felt a powerful shockwave that knocked all but the strongest
to their knees.
The flimsy bars of the cell Rosette was being held in burst open, her last human
words before she finished her transformation to the deadly, sleek black spider
were
"Run away!"
All of her following words became clicks and screeches as her vocal chords
transformed with the rest of her. Chris Harris instinctively reached for his
pistol, and fired it towards her. Instead of attacking, she dodged backwards,
and through the other corridor.
"Heh. Dante's that way..." Chris said to himself. "There's no way she'll get
far."
Dante was ready nearby, he'd sprung into action with the explosions. Charlie
was bleeping at him from his chestplate, telling him that several of the
circuits for the cells had been broken. With his special rifle in hand, he got
ready to force any criminals back towards their cells. What he didn't expect to
see was a fully grown Hymenoptera Warrior Spider. Instinctively, he fired.
With speed greater than any Hymenoptera he had ever faced before, Rosette used
all of her legs to fit herself in the centre of the corridor, pulling herself
this way and that. All of Dante's shots flew past, and tore into the control
panels for some of the more secure cells. Rosette's spidery claws tore through
the weapon, renching it from his hands before a needle-like leg pierced the
chest panel. Charlie went silent in the space of one processor cycle, while
Dante's life took a heartbeat before he even realised what had happened. His
hand grabbed hold of a long, poweful knife in his belt, forcing it up and into
the side of the dangerous beast. Green, acidic blood dripped from the wound,
burning his hand. With the knife still stuck in her side, Rosette moved back.
As Dante fell to his knees, he dropped his torn rifle, and looked down at the
wound. A tiny hole, barely even bleeding. But the sharp leg had touched his
heart, which was enough to end his life there and then. His life flashed before
his eyes, and final thoughts tried to force him to speak, something awesome and
worthy of note... But no one was close enough to hear them.
"I needed a bigger gun..."
Rosette fought from within to regain control, but it was to no avail. The bug
had complete control for now, and was about to go on a rampage around the ship.
One thing that had been done right though, was the security lockdown protocols
that blocked the exits from the cells. The only way to go was down to the 13th
level. The Pit. Rosette left the offices, and headed down through the
ventilation systems, hoping for an easy exit from the Pit. Many of the
criminals down there would be fighting to get out anyway, giving her the perfect
distraction to make her way out.

Then two security officers came up from behind him, weapons raised. Justin
instantly put his hands up. "Okay sorry guys, I know I escaped earlier but
you've caught me now."
"Get out of the way smegger." The security grunts yelled. Justin rolled out of
the way and ducked, as they fired. "What the smeg?!"
Then he saw what they were shooting at. A large Hymenoptera spider, black with
shines of green on her glossy skin. It lunged out with a long leg, and pierced
the closest security guard through the chest, then dragged him towards it. The
spider slammed him against the ceiling and then let him drop to the floor before
it chewed down on his soft head.
The other security guard continued firing throughout, but the Hymenoptera didn't
seem to mind. The shotgun bullets bounced off it's thick insect skin. Justin
felt his eyes go all watery at the sight of the monstrous creature. "It's...
beautiful." he said.

Rosette watched what was going on from inside her head. The stress and strain
of holding the bug in had taken its toll on her, leaving her weak and at the
mercy of the more powerful creature. She watched through her own eyes as Justin
stared at her.
"Go ahead and kill that one, i won't even try and stop you..." she thought, the
bug would have easily heard.
"Someone that you want me to kill? I'd better leave that one alone then." the
bug replied as the needle-like leg tore through both of the security guards
firing at her. Luckily none of them had been given weapons meant for killing.
Criminals were to be stunned, not killed...
Turning away, she left Justin staring at her, and headed for the main entrance.
The heavily guarded lift shaft. This one was easier to get through than the
security offices...
