> "Aren't you going to say thanks?" Justin said.

<<END SNIP>>
Keto glanced down at where the breeze block that had almost crushed him lay, now
appearing small and insignificant. He aimed an irritable kick at it, and
received a large and significant amount of pain in his foot as a direct result.
His skin still vaguely throbbed from the earlier burns, and he knew that it
wouldn't be too long before the ointment effects wore off and he would be in
quite some pain.
Which made the blackmail by Pancake grate even more on his pride. He was a
doctor. A highly-qualified (albeit under an assumed name) doctor of the JMC, who
was absolutely and completely above such manipulations as blackmail. When not
actually pinned down and threatened with impending death, that was.
He threw a bitter glance towards Pancake's back as the man gazed out into the
burger restaurant itself, to where Rosette and Seymour had just climbed out from
under the table. So the man was fascinated by the hymenoptera. And, as a
corollary, by Rosette.
Keto may have been a doctor by trade, but he was a manipulator by nature, and he
could spot good leverage when he saw it.
"Hymenoptera blood," he muttered quietly to himself, looking at the stained rag
in his hand, "So the kid wants to be half-insect, does he? Well. I shall have to
see what I can arrange. He'll soon learn that NOBODY blackmails Xavier Keto and
gets away wi-"
"Did you say something?" asked Pancake, turning around to look back at Keto.
"What!? No! Nothing!" spluttered the doctor, waving the rag around and grinning
like a maniac, "Hymenoptera hybrid, you got it, coming right up!"
"Great," nodded Pancake, his attention already drifting back towards Rosette.
Keto's manic grin flipped into a glare as soon as Pancake was looking the other
way.
"Yes," he muttered to himself again as he headed for the door and his medibay,
"I'll teach him not to blackmail the man with access to the crew DNA database
and a sample of hymentopterran blood! He'll rue the day that-"
"Seriously, are you talking to me?"
"STOP EAVESDROPPING!" wailed Keto, and darted out of the door.

OOC: Tag anyone. Sorry it's short and sweet, just blitzed through my unread
messages to catch up with what's been happening. Justin, I think you've made a
new friend...uh...or not. ;)
