OOC - New character "Jack Rockfield" (a member of the mining dept at

OOC - Hello everyone, I know we've had a slow couple of months and the story has
been dragging on a bit. I'm going to try push it forward pretty fast now so we
can get onto a new story, if anyone has something to post before we move on,
look sharp!
Also I want to introduce a new member Raphael Gariso who will be playing the
first member of the mining dept we've had for a while! His name is Jack
Rockfield and he's a geologist. Also he's french, so if you use him in your
posts I hope to see everyone writing in an outrageous french accent!
Raphael, the Blue Dwarf is a mining ship, but we seem to barely ever do any
mining. I hope you can stomp your feet a bit and make Jack start to justify his
job! I have visions of him going straight to the Captain's office and urging him
to do some mining asap.

Tall and skinny, Jack normally uses blue jeans, a dark T-shirt with no logo on
it and dark "converse" type tennis.
His way of dressing doesn't reflect at all his intellect, but he chooses exactly
to dress like this for that reason.
He is actually very intelligent and the only artifact that may shows this in is
dressing code are his round shape glasses, so he prefer to wear them at the end
of his nose to make him look more "crazy" than intellectual.
Character's Personality and Interests

Jack is at first impression someone that doesn't talk too much and it looks like
he's observing everything and everyone. And on a certain point of view it's
true, but after he feels more comfortable Jack shows to be a really funny guy,
trusty and serious. On work he prefers to be outside than always trapped in a
lab or office.
To have fun he really likes to play poker with friends, video games and to
sleep!
Character's history/background story

Jack had a good education during his life and became a geologist after
graduating. But at the beginning he didn't really worked much has a geologist,
in fact after graduating he followed his own path and got some little jobs in
between, like a cargo/passengers transporter on starbug like space shuttles, a
French conversation teacher and even as a bartender on Earth's space station's
bar!
But something terrible made him stop. Something that made him goes into some
kind of depression from where he almost died. About this horrible moment in his
life Jack still have some difficulties to speak about. The fact is that it
almost killed him but it also made him stronger.
But another thing pulled him up from this "abyss" he was in, something that
maybe for others may look insignificant, but for Jack it saved his life. This
"something" he keeps it in a little metallic box that he carries always with
him...
Some time has passed and after he put himself back together he decided to start
a new life.
He heard about this Blue Dwarf ship, that was looking for a geologist, by some
connections he still have in the space station's bar back on Earth, so he
decided to join to finally make use of all those years of studies. And because
he didn't know anyone there, it was the best opportunity for him to start a new
life!
The story of Jack Rockfield on the Blue Dwarf starts with him standing in the
ship's Hangar, after just arriving, waiting for someone to introduce him to his
room , with nothing more than his bag, a few credits in his pocket and a big
will to start his new life…
