*Actionette* - "I hate long goodbyes"
**INSIDE MICKYS HEAD**
<snip>
"Aaaaaaargh!" A new voice that sounded much like Holly's own came screaming into
the black. A small light whooshed about, swirling up and down and round and
round before finally coming into contact with Holly and bursting in a bright
light. It was so bright that both Micky and Holly had to shield their eyes.
When they finally opened them again, they both saw they were not alone. A Black
Labradore, identical to Holly in every way except for black fur and dark,
piercing red eyes. Holly didn't know how, but someone else had got into Mickys
head. He had a horrible feeling he knew who it was.
"Hello punks!" Said Evil Holly.
</snip>
"Who is that?" a slightly worried Micky asked Holly quietly.
"He's me." Came the reply.
"Then who are you?" Micky asked.
"I'm me too."
"I don't get it." Micky said looking confused. Holly, still sat on the floor in the shape of a Golden Labradore, rolled his eyes.
"I wouldn't expect you to understand without an IQ of six thousand."
"At least I can see in colour." Micky stabbed back, the best retort he could think of at the time. "How did you get in my head then?" He asked Evil Holly.
"When your scumbag of a captain blew me up, I hitched a ride on a small piece of microchip that was flung from the computer core. It was just sheer luck that I'd land in the only human on board I can use as both carrier and transmitter." Evil Holly, in the shape of a Black Labradore with piercing red eyes, looked smug. "All I need to do is take control of this pathetic sack of meat and inject myself into the backup mainframe. It will be easy!"
Micky looked horrified at the thought of having his body being controlled by something made of pure evil. In reality he had just remembered that he hadn't had a drink in well over 24 hours and was trying to come to terms with the fact he may die sober after all. Holly, however, saw him and assumed the first to be true. He stood up as tall as he could in dog form and puffed himself up.
"I wont let you." He said with a power in his voice Micky had never heard from any AI before, not even crazy ones.
"Then you will die with him!" Warned Evil Holly, rising to his feet and making himself look bigger too.
Micky looked on as the two dogs circled each other, staring eye to eye, bearing their teeth and letting off low growls, the animal instincts of their initial AI programming creeping out.
With an intense bark Evil Holly lunged forward and sunk his teeth into the Golden Labs shoulder.
Holly screamed out in pain and Micky saw a ripple of static and white noise blur through his body.
"Hol!"
"It's okay Micky, just a flesh wound. STAY BACK!" He let out another scream as the Black Lab tore out a chunk of his shoulder. Limping round again to try and sheild his wounded side, the Golden Lab took a snap at Evil Holly, only slightly catching his lip, not doing any real damage.
"Do you honestly think you can beat me?!" Evil Holly laughed, he was slowly growing in size, Micky could see, while Holly was badly wounded. "You are nothing but a watch! A mere speck of processing power compared to my programming!"
Micky heard thunder overhead, a bolt of lightning tearing across the sky, now visible above him. He looked around to see he was now stood in his home town of Blackburn Two, in the middle of a storm. The worst storm that had torn through the city.
"How did you bring back my memories?" Micky shouted at the Black dog, now bigger than Micky was himself. "I can't even do that! How did you get in there?!"
"I can do more than just make you remember, I can make you live them again. I can turn them into your worst nightmares," another bolt of thunder lit up the sky and went coursing into Mickys body, filling him with excruciating pain. "Or," the lightning stopped and Micky dropped to his hands and knees, hair and breath smoking from the electricity, "I can turn them into your wildest dreams!" Jayne was standing over him now, he recognised her smell. He looked up at her and she pulled him up to her eye level, slowly leaning in to kiss him.
"So what do you say?!" Evil Hollys piercing red eyes appeared in Jaynes own eyes and her face turned to resemble that of Hollys old, balding face, with an Evil grin that showed no sign of sanity.
"I say, you lose!" The Golden Labrador jumped with full force against Evil Holly with Jaynes body, knocking him to the floor, while sinking his sharp teeth into his neck. Micky heard a gragling noise as blood gushed up out of the wound. He knew it wasn't real, but from where he was standing nothing ever looked more real in his life.
"Get off me you dated moron!" Evil Hollys body changed with such speed it seemed impossible. Huge bulks of arms expanded from giant shoulders, reaching up for Hollys mouth and prying it off his neck.
He punched Holly hard in the head, sending him spinning across the asphalt floor that had emerged. Micky realised he was stood on the highway of Moon 942. The same Moon that Jed and his crew had abandoned him on all those years ago.
Holly jumped back up to his feet and sprinted rather painfully back at Evil Holly, now looking more like a giant professional wrestler than a computer program. Evil Holly made light work of picking him up and swinging him back down at the floor so hard he made the sound of a cracking whip, smashing what appeared to be every bone in his canine body.
Holly lay still.
Evil Holly stood over him, relishing the view with a smile on his face.
Micky watched as sparks of electric light passed around the body of the dying Labradore. Surely, he thought. Surely Holly can't be killed.
"He's just software." Micky uttered, in complete shock. "He can't die..."
Evil Holly turned around and stared piercingly into his eyes. Micky felt as though he was staring deep into his soul. This wasn't far from the truth.
"You're going to help me boy, wether you want to or not, you're going to help me kill that pesky Captain of yours and any crew stupid enough to try and stop me." He was marching towards Micky as he spat this at him. "You, and youre friends over there!" Evil Holly lifted Micky by the hair with one hand and tuned him around.
Micky squirmed against the pain in his head only slightly noticing Jed Calvert and Pirate Pete standing in front of him.
"What in blazes?! " Jed seemed to be fighting an uncontrollable urge. "What have you done now boy?! There was a reason I left you here to die! And that's 'acause you cause nothing but trouble!"
"Cap! Pete! I'm sorry! I can't help it!" Micky was slowly slipping back into his sub conscious without realising. Losing grip on reality. The huge figure behind him lifted him back to his feet more gently.
"It's alright young man. We all make mistakes." Evil Holly held out a heavy blaster rifle. "How about you redeem yourself by helping us out?"
Micky looked down at the rifle, trying to remember why he felt so upset. He felt like everything had been taken away from him. When he looked into the red eyes of his new friend, though, all doubt was gone. He smiled, nodded and took the rifle.
As the well armed Captain, Pirate Pete and Micky were all shown the way by their new ring leader, the dying Golden Labradore lay in the rain.
Thunder cracked overhead and one last streak of lightning was seen by Holly as his processes came to an end.
The Dog faded out of sight, never to be seen again.
<Tag Onion Ball! Bring on the battle! Just dont kill anyone yet, and certainly dont bring micky back. How will the rest of the crew cope on board now that Holly has been completely deleted?>
