Pancake tries to open the cupboard

Who: Justin Pancake and William Eckerslike, Boss of the entire JMC
Where: Eckerslike's apartment, New Tenerife
When: After Justin sees the secret door

The sign was glowing brightly on that door. Justin walked over, and
realised there was a huge lock on the door. A lock with a code, and an
iris scanner. Something important was definitely in there. Justin
wondered what.
He pushed on the door just to make sure, but he heard Eckerslike
calling him.
"I'm gonna beat your 388 point score laddie!"

Justin stayed over at Eckerslike's apartment for another night, and
tried to leave again in the morning, saying that he probably should go
back to work now, and that the "Blue Dwarf probably needed him".
Eckerslike saw through his and laughed. "I'll ring the Captain, don't
worry. He can't get angry with you, or I'll fire him!"
Justin laughed nervously and stayed with Eckerslike some more. He
thought it weird that Eckerslike wanted him there so much, and for so
long.
He wondered if he was actually being held prisoner, but Eckerslike was
just being quite nice about it.
He wondered what would happen if he tried to leave by force. Would
Eckerslike physically block his way? The fat man could actually block
enough of a door for that to work. Or maybe he would send his Ffionian
slave girl to chase after him and bring him back.
All of this worried Justin, but it didn't prey on his mind as much as
what Willy Eckerslike had behind that door. The door with the sign
saying "Corridor of infinite perversions".
Justin was fed a really heavy bacon breakfast by the Ffionian servant
girl, so heavy that he couldn't now escape if he wanted to. He sat on
the comfortable sofa and clutched his overfed stomach. He felt contented.
It was at this moment that Eckerslike announced he was going to a
meeting, and would be back later. "You're free to play more games. Or
watch a movie." Eckerslike said. "There's a good horror flick on there
about the Hymenoptera."
Justin nodded. "Cool." He said. "Hymenoptera make good film baddies"
"Just remember..." Eckerslike added just before he left. "Not
everything in life is black and white... good and evil." He smiled and
left.
"Who's he meeting with?" Justin asked the Ffionian girl as soon as the
door was closed. She shrugged.
She was dressed in a French maids outfit, and cleaning. Something
unusual to see a Ffionian wearing.
"Did Eckerslike make you wear that?" He asked.
"Does it look like I wear it for fun?" She said sarcastically.
"Erm... depends whose fun!" Justin laughed but she wasn't amused. "So
why don't you run away?" He asked her. "You're clearly unhappy."
She looked sad and sat down on the sofa opposite him. "Eckerslike pays
me good money. Very good money."
Justin nodded.
"Besides, if I left, he might get angry. He has a bit of a temper on
him. He might have a JMC ship chase me across the galaxy. He is a very
powerful man. He IS the boss of the JMC after all."
There was an awkward silence.
"So why am I being imprisoned here?" Justin finally asked.
"Imprisoned?" She laughed. "I think Willy just wants a friend that's
all. You can probably go whenever you want."
Justin looked at the door and considered leaving. "Erm... no... no
actually... I don't want to make him angry." He said.
The woman laughed. "That's it. You're trapped forever!" She joked.
Justin didn't like the thought of that. Could he live his entire life
here in fear of what Willy might do to him if he left? How angry DID
he get?
"What was your name again?" Justin asked.
"Fferna."
"Okay Fferna. I am Justin. We might both be living with Willy for a
very long time, mainly because I am shit scared that he might get
angry if I leave. So we might as well be friends."
Fferna laughed and caught his eye, then looked away slightly embarassed.
"There is one thing I have been meaning to ask you...." Justin said.
"Yes?" Her voice was quiet and expectant.
"Something I wanted to know..."
"Yes?"
"I... I..."
She smiled.
"I wanted to know what that sign says on that door over there."
"What?!"
"That door. The secret door!" Justin pointed to the door with the sign
that says 'Corridor of infinite perversions' on it.
"There isn't a sign. It's just a door."
"That's what I'm afraid of. I think I'm seeing things. I think I'm
reading things that sometimes aren't there."
Fferna gave him a weird look. "What do you see?"
"Erm... never mind." He didn't want to look like a dick. "So what do
you think is in there?"
"Through the door?"
"Yeah"
"Just a store cupboard I guess." She said. "Never really thought about
it."
"But it's a store cupboard that has a big lock and an iris scanner! It
must be important."
Fferna shrugged.
Justin walked over and started tugging on the door, and attempting to
peer through the cracks.
"I bet there's something cool inside. Or something really creepy.
Maybe he's got a porn dungeon or something."
Fferna raised her hand. "He already has one of those on the other side
of the house. It's not locked though."
"Oh."
Justin grabbed a knife from the kitchen. "Help me open it."
"Are you stupid? Willy might be back at any time."
His meeting won't finish for hours. "Help me".
"But it might not. He might come back. He might have forgotten
something." Said Fferna.
Justin stabbed the join between the door and the doorframe. He wiggled
it and the door started to move. "It's opening!" he shouted. "I think
I can get it open...."
