Bits of flashes. (This will go somewhere, promise!)

Who: Micky, Erik, other folks.
Where: All over the ship.
When: Before and after Micky gets his gift.
<Snip>
"Me and 1132 have got a present for
you. It's top of the range too."
Erik rolled over to the cupboard on the other side of the room and
took out the gift for Micky.
Mickys eyes lit up with joy when he saw it.

In what he hoped was the medi bay, Micky opened his eyes. He wasn't
under general, but he was under local. Which meant he could see
everything. The fact it was a skutter doing the work didn't help his
confidence.
"Is Erik holding a scalpel?" Micky asked in a haze....
<In his own bed>
In his quarters, Micky woke. Erik had arranged a few skutters to
lift him back to his bed.
"What's happen...." Micky was still groggy. "What's... Hol?"
"Calm down Micky, the medi bay was busy." Holly sounded calm. "The
cargo bay was empty though."
Micky looked around and saw what had happened.
"I got Erik to add a few changes to make it better for you." Holly
smiled as if trying to make up for many mistakes.
Micky looked about at the work that had been done. He was amazed.
"It's voice activated," said Holly....
<Erik was out and about, many hours and minutes earlier, getting
bits for Holly>
Erik rolled into the engineering room. He looked about. No-one was
here, so he quickly made for the servo's and motors and dashed out.
In the engineering bay he picked up a full tool kit, roll of seven
differnet guage wires and a small, but powerful fusion powered
battery.
There were lots of other departments Erik visited, but I'm sure you
get the gist of it.
<In the cargo bay>
"You haven't kept it massively clean down here boys," Holly told the
skutters, "Try and make it as quick as possible."
Micky stirred in and out of a painful sleep. The skutters added what
they could. Micky would have to complete some of the work himself.
<Back to his room>
Micky came to again...
"What's happening?" He managed.
Then fell back into a drowsy, groggy half-sleep.
<Again soon>
He had the room to himself, besides an image of Holly. He didn't
seem to actually be concentrating on Micky, or what was happening in
his room.
"Holly?" There was nothing.
"Hol?!" This time he heard and came to.
"Yeh?" He looked straight out at Micky lying on his quarters
table. "You were only out for an hour. Lucky the skutters did what
they did quickly."
"What did the skutters do?" He asked as he sat up, rather lop sided,
then proceeded to fall back into a light unconsciousness. Erik and
one or two of the many skutter on board helped him into bed.
<Back to where we were near the beginning>

In his quarters, Micky woke. Erik had arranged a few skutters to
lift him back to his bed.
"What's happen...." Micky was still groggy. "What's... Hol?"
