Rosette - Infiltration
<snip
This hospital was as impersonal as the last one, but at least nobody
ever cut open your chest just to poke around inside for their own
amusement. He looked down to see a woman with a medical mask over her
face tugging on his liver, covered in green blood.
</snip>
Meanwhile, a lone Blue Midget shuffled through space, heading towards
the green and blue planet below. Inside, a lone woman sat at the
controls, her hands clamped firmly on the steering wheel, keeping it
perfectly still as it slid through the vacuum. Most normal pilots
would be using the autopilot for such a mundane task, but this young
woman was staring straight at the planet, as if she had some reason to
go to the planet right now, in the most direct route possible.
<snip2>
The patent opened his eyes again. There were more this time, all
gathered around him. They were doctors, or scientists, he couldn't
tell. They all wore a face mask and goggles, but it wasn't clear if
it was to protect him or them.
</snip2>
The atmosphere of the planet slowly surrounded the small spacecraft,
but allowed it entrance. As it flew, a message crackled over the
radio system.
"State your business here. You are performing an unauthorised
re-entry. Failure to respond will result in your death."
The Radio cut out, and the young woman reached forward and pushed a
button.
"This is Rosette LaChance, I am on a special mission for Admiral
Eckerslike. If you contact him, he will give me clearance." She
said, and released the button. Her ship continued on its course
towards the planets surface... More specifically, a single building on
the outskirts of a large city in central England. A Tower with the
words 'Transmed' plastered on the side in large, glowing letters.
Just as she was about to land, the radio crackled back into life.
"Authorisation confirmed. Have a nice day." The ships that had been
following her broke away, and headed back to their base, leaving the
blue midget to land peacefully on top of the medical corporations main
research facility.
As soon as the door to the midget opened, two laser blasts flew
through the air, striking security guards in the neck, their only
un-armoured point. Both of them fell, dropping their laser-rifles to
the floor.
Rosette sheathed her weapons, and tore the laser rifle from their
still warm, but very dead fingers. Searching through all of their
pockets, she took the keycard and swiped it on the door.
*Shoop*
She stepped into the dark staircase below, as the door closed behind her.
