Seymour - "The Queen's palace"

Who: Seymour Niples
Where: New Tenerife
When: Present time
They flew to an island in the middle of the glistening blue ocean. It
was far enough from the extremely touristy mainland, that Seymour was
actually impressed by the scene. It was a beautiful green forest
surrounded by hundreds of miles of clean blue sea. They landed in a
small sandy cove, this was this was the first time Seymour had seen
sand on this planet, as the beach near the space-port had been so
full of crispy tanned people that he'd not even seen a grain. Seymour
looked around and checked for any signs of litter. He imagined the
mainland beaches to be covered with empty suntan lotion bottles,
sweets wrappers and beer cans, but he could barely fault it here.
Until he spotted something by a rock.
"What is the meaning of this!" He exclaimed, pointing down to some
discarded clothes that had been lazily flung against a rock. "Some
extremely chavvy members of the public have left some of their
atrocious clothing behind. There has been some trespassing going on
here, the security is obviously not tight enough. Guards, guards!"
A voice behind him made him jump. It was a man dressed like a butler,
who actually turned out to be a butler. "That is the queen's bathing
attire sir." He said.
"What!" Shouted Seymour. "That cannot be. Unless someone had broken
into the Queen's residence and stolen some of her personal
belongings, unknowingly dropping them here during a quick getaway."
"Actually sir. The Queen put them there herself."
Seymour looked around, as well as the butler and the man with the
Hawaiin shirt that had flown him here, there were several more
servants, and some bodyguards with black sunglasses. "If the Queen
put them here, why has nobody picked them up? Isn't that what you are
all paid for?"
The servants looked at each other and shrugged. "That would be the
case sir, if Her Majesty wasn't soon going to be in need of them." As
he said this he pointed out to the sea, where two figures, a male and
a female that Seymour hadn't seen before were splashing themselves
with the water. Worst of all, the salty sea spray splashed their
naked bodies.
Seymour's jaw dropped, then he looked away and quickly covered his
eyes. "Is that?"
The butler nodded. "Shall I show you into the house to wait for her
sir?"
"Yes please."
The island was only a few miles across and had a thick green wood
around it's perimeter. Inside this green barrier was a castle, sat
upon a freshly mowed green lawn. Seymour stood and revelled in how
quintessentially British it all looked. This was the Queen's summer
home, Windsor castle. Transported here because the young Queen got
fed up of the horrific British climate and wanted to be somewhere far
more exotic.
Seymour tried to ignore the cheesy theme park that sat behind the
castle. This was the Queen's private playground, which she had
demanded out of boredom one sunny afternoon two years ago. She was
prone to whims, especially ones that ended up being very expensive
and painstaking to execute. Seymour personally hated the theme park
with it's boldly painted tall towers and steep climbing
rollercoasters. It was tacky and unnecessarily extravagant, and most
of all it was unrepresentative of the model young woman that he
thought the Queen should be.
"Queen Brittany Jennifer Royal!" Came an announcement bellowed out of
the lungs of the butler who was only standing several meters away
from Seymour. Seymour flinched, and then looked back towards the tree
line where he had walked from the beach. To see Queen Brittany
walking up to the house. She wore a small bikini in the colours of
the British Union Flag.
"Your majesty!" Called Seymour, and he trotted over. As he walked,
the Queen winced slightly at the sight of him. "Seymour! What are you
doing here?" She asked.
Seymour bowed to the Queen. In this modern time, Seymour seemed to be
the only person left who valued and honoured the traditions and
customs that had been around for centuries. In fact the Queen had
told him several times to just say 'hi', but he insisted on getting
down on one knee.
"Seymour get up. What do you want?"
"Ma'am. I have to ask first of all. Who was that... gentleman."
Seymour pointed to the path that lead to the beach.
"Oh. That was Richard."
"Richard?" Seymour spat with obvious disapproval.
"He's the Earl of Alpha Centauri. Don't worry Seymour, he's not just
some guy I picked up from the streets."
"The Earl of Alpha Centauri?" Seymour scoffed. "Since when did Alpha
Centauri have an Earl?"
"Since I decided it should have!" Queen Brittany said and started
walking towards the house. Seymour trotted after her.
"Have you at least had him checked out. Who are his parents? Is the
good breeding?"
Jennifer turned her head around sharply. "Seymour, you're not my dad.
I can see who I want to see."
Seymour saw how angry this was making the Queen, and so changed his
tone. "Of course ma'am. But you have to consider the lineage. You are
descended from a long line of nobles, and it would be such a shame if
you were to break it by marrying some...."
"Commoner?"
Seymour didn't even pretend that wasn't the word he was going to
say. "Yes."
"Don't worry Seymour. I'm not going to marry him. He's just a bit of
fun."
She walked to the house leaving Seymour stood there. "Fun? But Ma'am,
what will people think?"
"I don't care Seymour!" She called back to him.
"Wait ma'am, wait! I need your help in creating a small army!"
Seymour called after her. But she'd gone inside and two burly
security guards blocked his path.
