*Action* - "The great escape" part 1

Who: Seymour Niples, Jay Chrysler and Mk10
Where: Shellite ship
When: As the two groups split up
Jay lead his small team through a corridor that skirted around the
left side of the ship, whilst he knew Dante and Chris were scouting
the right. As they moved, jay shed his Shellite disguise.
"Bloody thing's far too hot!" He complained, and dropped the aluminium
shell at the side of the corridor.
"I wish I could take mine off." Seymour moaned. "But I stitched myself
into it." he tugged at the stitching but it only confirmed what he
suspected, he was stitched in tight.
They approached a sharp corner at the end of the corridor and Jay went
first. He kept his back to the wall and peered around the corner to
make sure it was clear.
"Clear." he said, and beckoned them to follow him.
Mk10 followed, and then Seymour. "Are we nearly there yet?" The
Ambassador complained. He was starting to feel the weight of the large
metal shell on his back, and the shoulder straps were digging into his
skin. He allowed himself to drop a few steps behind, but was unaware
of the sound of mechanical motion behind him.
A machine gun drilled into his back.
"Hey!" Shouted Seymour as the continual force of hundreds of rounds of
bullets hitting him from behind vibrated his fillings out.
The noise had caused Jay to turn around. "Look out!" he yelled, and
ran back towards Seymour.
A ceiling-mounted turret had emerged and was firing constantly at
Seymour. The bullets ricocheted off his metallic shell. Jay and Mk10
took shelter in front of him.
"Don't move Seymour." Said Jay. "And for gods sake, don't turn around."
"Oh believe me, I have absolutely no intention!" Said Seymour. "Now
whatever your plan is, do it fast, because this really hurts." his
voice was juddery as the bullets constantly bombarded him.
Jay peered from behind the shell to look at the turret. A bullet
whizzed through his hair, giving him an impromptu haircut.
"You think I have a plan?" He scoffed at Seymour's last comment.
"I hope so!"
"How about we wait for it to run out of bullets?"
"What?!" Shouted Seymour. "My shell is made from the finest blends of
metal that the JMC can put together. As the JMC is a corporation of
monkeys and retards, I'm surprised it's lasted this long."
Jay considered this a moment and agreed. "We need to throw something
at it. Anyone got any grenades or sticky bombs?"
"Oh I'll just check my OTHER turtle costume." Seymour said sarcastically.
Jay reached for the only thing at his disposal and lobbed it at the
automated turret.
Mk10 screamed in shock at being flung through the air by his leg, and
smashed into the gun, spinning it around to face the wall. He grabbed
on before he fell and pulled on some electrical wires that obviously
controlled the gun's movement.
The machinery sparked and the gun remained where it was, firing
pointlessly at the wall.
Mk10 dropped to the ground and walked over to Jay. "I would appreciate
some warning next time Jay." he said.
"Okay then. I'm going to throw you at that Shellite guard just coming
down the corridor."
"Don't even joke about it-wwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggghhhhhh!"
The guard dropped concussed to the floor, and Mk10 sat rubbing his
metallic head.

Who: Dante and Harris
Where: Other side of the ship
When: Same time
Dante picked up one of the turtle guards in front of him by the neck
and lifted it to the ceiling. His aim was to do it with such force
that the guards head would crack on the metal bulkhead.
Dante blinked. His fist was empty and the turtle had dropped to the
floor. The round shell rolled around for a few seconds and the alien's
head popped out.
Dante was mildly impressed at the alien's natural armour, but he saw
it as cowardice to always hide inside of it. He grabbed the shell and
spun it around on he floor, making the owner extremely dizzy. Then he
kicked it through a blast door that Harris was just about to seal.
The door shut and a hydraulic hiss indicated that it was locked.
Harris rubbed his hands together. "That's a quarter of the ship sealed
off. We probably won't have any trouble from the onboard security now."
They raced to meet up with the other team, until they rounded a corner
and Dante got an Mk10 in the face.
Mk10 bounced off Dante's head, and almost fell into a digital coma.
"Dante!" He said recognising the security officer through the noughts
and ones spinning around his head like stars.
Harris jumped around the corner brandishing a machine gun, and then
relaxed when he saw Jay and Seymour.
"This way." Mk10 pointed to the control room. "It's where we can fly
the ship."
As a few of them stepped towards the room, a similar mechanical
whirring sound could be heard behind Seymour. Jay, Mk10 and Harris
dived for the room, making it out of sight of the automated turret.
Seymour was too tired to move. He stepped up to Dante saying "Don't
worry. I'll shield us from the blast."
The turret fired a fiery hot flame towards them, which surrounded them
both.
It subsided almost as soon as it had started, but they were both
already black with singed skin. "It's a good job I don't need my
eyebrows." Dante said.
Seymour almost cried.
Inside the control room, Mk10 had already plugged himself into the
computer and began to power up this large craft's engines.
Jay cracked his knuckles and sat down at the pilots seat. "I've not
been in a ship I couldn't fly yet." He boasted with a grin.
The large craft rumbled like King Kong's bowels after a curry, and Jay
finally prized the heavy craft away from the ground.
Outside, several teams of shelled soldiers were still throwing
grenades and explosives at the craft. They started to look smaller and
less significant as the vessel moved directly upwards.
At about 200 feet, Jay paused the descent and moved them forwards. He
could see the skyscrapers in front, and knew that many of them had
anti-air turrets on top, so planned to stay beneath the skyline. This
meant that he'd have to dodge between quite a number of the buildings
in this bulky ship.
"How does it handle Jay?"asked Harris.
"Terrible. Like a shopping trolley with one spinning wheel."
Jay avoided the first building by carefully pivoting around it. He
lost concentration for a moment as a chargrilled Seymour and Dante
walked in the room. Seymour's turtle disguise was in tatters and his
shell dropped to the floor. Jay laughed and veered into a building,
removing the glass façade and showering dangerous shards of glass onto
a busy marketplace below.
"Oops." he said.
"Jay we're taking damage." Said Mk10.
"Look, I can't help it. This thing's controls are rubbish."
"No... I mean, we're being attacked."
Jay raised his eyes and he could see more of the helicopter gunships
buzzing around above them, firing missiles down at them.
"Don't worry." Said Harris, finding a rocket launcher under a desk. "I
saw a hatch onto the top deck earlier." Dante grabbed another rocket
launcher and followed.
