A blast from the past...

Who: Chrizla Mundi
Where: his quarters
When: just after leaving the medibay
Chrizla made his way slowly back to his quarters; he still felt
groggy from the hospital drugs and his haed felt as if someone had
let off several explosive charges inside it. He pushed the button
that opened his door, and hobbled inside.
He collapsed on his bed and just lay there, doing nothing for a few
minutes. He slowly turned things over in his head; he believed that
he was feeling something very strong for Jessie Carter, but wasn't so
sure that the feeling was mutual. He kept thinking to himself "I
shouldn't have kissed her." over and over. He decided that a look at
her Space Corps profile might help him to understand her better and
maybe giver him some tips.
He fired up the computer at his workstation; JMC were STILL using the
ancient Commodore 64's that became obsolete almost 200 years
previously, so it took a while to load up.
LOAD "CARTER, JESSIE PROFILE"
He typed. The big modem plugged into the expansion port at the back
whirred quite loudly as it searched the many terabytes of the Space
Corps database.
LOAD "CARTER, JESSIE PROFILE"
SEARCHING...
FOUND
Flashed on the screen. Chrizla pressed the C= key to tell it to load
it up. To compensate for the antiguatqed system, JMC had intergrated
the best graphics that the 64k processor could handle and music
composed by the legendary Dell Buck. Trouble was, this increased the
loading times of the programs by as much as 500%, so most people gave
up half way through and turned them off. But, Chrizla was not about
to give up on someone as important as Jessie; so he stuck it out.
