Efof - \"Family Jewelry\"

"Im sorry I just get alittle to ahead of myself, I guess Im not really
to get married yet either" Alandra said looking at Peter with a small

"Its ok, the more time we spend togeather the better" Peter said
relieved to hear what she said.

Efof was working at the bar. Sure a lot of bizarre things were going
on since the Blue Dwarf was in something called `Null' space, but that
just meant more people wanted to drink to ignore it. So Parrotts was
pretty full.
In the first free moment Efof got he wiped down the spilled beer from
the bar and cleaned the drip-trays. He looked over at Peter and
Alandra talking on a far table. A bit further, he could see two
dolphins talking. But with Efof being as dimwitted as he was, and with
the many bizarre things that normally happen on the Blue Dwarf,
talking Dolphins wasn't anything too strange.
He listened to Alandra and Peter, and walked over to Peter when he saw
Alandra nip off to the ladies.
He wiped Peter's table down and cleaned the ashtray.
"Careful of that one, she seems a bit crazy!" Efof said.
Peter looked up. "Why do you say that? She's nice!"
"She seems crazy… and believe me, I know crazy!" he pointed to his head.
"Oh because there's crazy things going on in here?" Peter said,
pointing to the dolphins. "Like those, and the leprechaun that's
peeing in the beernuts?"
"Ah no, that's probably just Mini-Phil, I expect you haven't met him
yet... oh wait, no. That IS a leprechaun. Oi, shoo! Anyway, yeah.
Talking about your human thingie of marriage so soon, I mean, how long
have you known her?"
"Not that long I guess, but that's not - " started Peter.
"Yeah, surely that's not a good time to start thinking about marriage.
And if you ask me anyway it sounds like such a bad idea. Just one
woman for the rest of your life. I mean, whats that all about?"
"So what do they do on your planet?" Peter asked, not wanting to raise
a sore point. Efof's planet had long since been destroyed, but he had
a chilled-out attitude about it.
"Well we have a thing like marriage. Well, I say LIKE marriage, its
close. It's a ritual where the men get their knackers chopped off and
the women wear them around their neck."
"Oh. Oh!" Said Peter.
"So be careful! She might be a secret Ffionian, she might want to make
jewellery out of your nads. Make sure you check her for an extra 2 arms!

Efof noticed she was coming back. He winked at Peter. "Anyway watch out!"
He made a scissor-like action with his fingers and Peter looked
nervous and crossed his legs.
Efof walked back to the bar with a grin on his face.
