Back in the Blue
WHO: Peter Marwood
WHERE: Space Eagle 2, Blue Dwarf - Hanger Bay 1
WHEN: After the dogfight with the JMC Craft
Peter switched on the radio-link and switched to Blue Dwarf's
frequency.
"Space Eagle 2 to Blue Dwarf Flight Control" Peter said into the
speaker.
"Reading you Space Eagle 2" came the reply from the Dwarf.
"Permission to dock and land control"
"Pilot Clearence Code?"
"BD7474505B" Peter said clearly.
"Thank you Space Eagle 2, procede to Hanger Bay 1. Have a Nice Day"
the flight control signed off.
<Well> Peter thought <All those hours on Rogue Leader DID come in
handy>. He thought back over the proceeding few hours, to how he had
taken part in the latest of the many attacks on Blue Dwarf from the
Space Corps. He had seen many brave pilots from the Dwarf fighting
out there, in a rag-tag fugitive fleet of Starbug's, Blue Midget's,
Space Eagle's & Raven's. Thankfully the pilots of the other JMC
Ships were not as well trained or as prepared for a fight as the
one's from Blue Dwarf.
As he pulled into the landing bay, he could see various other S2S
Vessel's parked. He parked SE2 down and parked in a gap between SE1
& SE3.
He climbed out of the Eagle and made his way towards the exit. He
was only now feeling the soreness of sitting in a small cockpit for
hours on end, he was feeling slightly queezy from the infinite
amount of G's he had pulled. All he wanted right now was to go back
to his cabin, take a shower, have a cup of tea and retire for the
evening with a good Robert Rankin novel. But before all that he was
going to see Alandra, when he had been out there he had been hoping
that she had been alright through out all of it. He planned to take
her out to one of the various 'nicer' restaurants along the
promenade, or to Seymour's restaurant, if it was still running, or
Parrots, if she wanted just a casual night out of fun and drinking.
As he got closer to the entrance he saw two figures by the doorway.
He realised that one of the figures was Alandra, and another was one
of the nurses. He knew instinctivly something was wrong.
<tag, Alandra or anyone>
