Re: Men, to your stations.

"Mk.7 to Blue Dwarf. We have a large wave of ships coming. If those
turrets are working, now would be a VERY good time!"

"Jack, you heard him, get those cannons up!" Phil shouted down the
tannoy, Jack instantly got to work, all the random security grunts
that had opted to stick with him, and had a sense of right & wrong
were ready.
"Ok guys, and gals. This attack force may not be targetting us, but
they are after our people, as soon as they're in range, let rip, and
take them all down." Jack said, standing at the front of a mid sized,
and abandoned room that he had stolen as his office, a desk, computer
and camera monitors were dotted around the place, yet to be set up.
"Everyone make sure you've got a radio, i want all channels left open,
quick contact is a must here, we need smooth, and relevant
communication, anything less and i'll make sure you never get paid again.
His men stood in front of him, they knew he wasn't kidding, nor did
they care about pay right now, when their lives were on the line.
"GO!" Jack shouted, as the rabble of men scrambled as fast as they
could to the nearest cannons that were still working. Jack sat at his
desk, the computer sat on it was bolted down. He turned it on, and
clicked on a small space invaders icon in the centre of the desktop.
The biggest cannon on the ship, right on top, at the front, aligned
itself as he moved the mouse.
"This is where my love of First Person Shooters helps in life" he said
to himself, sitting upright in his chair, scanning his turrets line of
sight over and over, awaiting the enemy.
