Brief Bio

Before he was 25, Lucius Fox had doctorates in both engineering and chemistry and was only a thesis away from another doctorate in physics. Thomas Wayne considered him to be the best hire he ever made. The man's darn near a universal genius.

Fox was a Wayne Enterprises research head and friend of Bruce Wayne's late father Thomas Wayne, even helping him build his monorail, who was demoted by Wayne Enterprises CEO William Earle to the Applied Sciences division, which involved overseeing the supplies of Wayne Enterprises' aborted research projects and prototypes.

Upon returning to the business, Bruce Wayne struck up a fast friendship which allowed him to all but recruit Fox as his armorer for his Batman activities.

Fox later discovered Bruce's real identity through Alfred Pennyworth, who called upon Fox to Bruce's rescue after he was assaulted by Scarecrow's Fear Toxin.

Fox proved valuable in his role, even when he was fired by Earle for questioning the disappearance of the Microwave Emitter.

Later on, after Bruce gained majority control of Wayne Enterprises' shares, Bruce gave Lucius the honor of firing Earle. Lucius became acting CEO whenever Bruce was not available.
