A Week and the Next Mission
Seoul - South Korea
After completing her mission in San Francisco, Eun-Ji boarded her flight back home to Korea, feeling a mix of relief and reflection on the events she had recently experienced. Upon landing at Incheon Airport, she was greeted politely by her family. Her father, Byung-Ho, and mother, Ma-Ri, both traditional Korean parents, expressed quiet pride in her accomplishments as a Dragon agent, their eyes conveying unspoken concern mingled with admiration for her efforts. Her older brother, Jae-Hoon, himself a seasoned Dragon agent, greeted her with a nod and a subtle smile, silently acknowledging her resilience in the face of danger.
Back home, the week unfolded in a routine that brought her comfort and familiarity. Mornings were dedicated to rigorous martial arts training and meditation, practices that grounded her amidst the chaos of her missions. Afternoons were spent reconnecting with friends over traditional Korean meals, savoring the flavors of home that reminded her of simpler times. Evenings with her family were filled with discussions ranging from global affairs, which Jae-Hoon avidly discussed, to reminiscing about childhood memories with her parents.
During this period, Eun-Ji received commendations from senior Dragon officials for her meticulous research and strategic contributions to their archives, including the information she gathered on all the other operatives she had come across. The recognition underscored her dedication to the organization's mission and bolstered her confidence in her abilities as an agent.
One evening, Eun-Ji’s family attended a prestigious dinner hosted by the Dragon organization in Seoul. The venue exuded elegance with its traditional Korean decor and meticulous attention to detail. Conversations flowed effortlessly among the guests, touching on recent missions, geopolitical challenges, and the preservation of ancient knowledge.
As the evening drew to a close and guests began to depart, a figure approached Eun-Ji with an aura of authority and intrigue. Dr. Petoh Talrayn, a man of dark complexion and captivating presence, introduced himself to the up and coming Dragon agent.
On their way home from the event, her parents informed Eun-Ji of her next assignment in Gary, Indiana. She was handed a packet containing detailed instructions, plane tickets, and the necessary resources for her mission. Eun-Ji frowned in annoyance when she saw the familiar faces she would be working alongside again.
