Breakfast Of Cultures
Jp with Redsword, Jaxx, Trustno1, mdman, Lorem and Cindy
Alyssa awoke with slightly after sunrise. She had gotten some sleep last night, a few hours but the exchange with Prue had left her a little thrown.
She managed a shower, and got dressed before heading downstairs. Coffee was needed. Desperately, needed. That was something Alyssa was actually pretty good at, not that it was complicated. She put on a pot, waited for it to brew. Maybe, the aroma would wake up some of the others.
Sung was sitting in the same spot as the night before cross-legged. His sword was still next to him as people woke up. There was no movement but people could hear him snoring quietly.
Sartre awoke, On the day that would turn to an evening of terror. He noticed that Alyssa was already up. He showered and made his way downstairs to the aroma of black coffee. "Good morning Alyssa, Sorry about last night. I was wondering, did you ever use a screen name as a hacker?”
Choi arose early in the morning. He did his morning taqueando routine, followed by a time of meditation. He realized the events of yesterday had caused him to become imbalanced. He needed to center himself to find the peace and energy within himself. He reminded himself to trust in this and not the actions of others.
Once centered, he cleansed himself in one of the restrooms before coming downstairs.
The coffee smelled good, but Choi was inclined to tea. Perhaps there was green tea in the house. He began to search, making himself at home. He found tea, Earl Grey. Not having it before, Yeong decided to try it.
Alyssa sipped her coffee and sighed, "I might not have said it outright, but I already accepted your apology. So, please stop apologizing for it. Can we move on?" She hadn't thought she needed to spell it out. "If something like that happens again and I stop being mad, it's over. I mean, it means I'm over it. I don't usually come out and say it."
She stopped long enough to say good morning to Choi before answering Sartre's question. "Yes, I have a hacker name but it's classified. Why?”
"I just figured it would be very unique." said Sartre.
"It is," Alyssa agreed. That little bit of information certainly gave nothing away. "I'm starving. Should we order breakfast?"
It was probably obvious, that Alyssa was very used to ordering take out or getting fast food. It was her go to for food so any suggestion to cook something would likely have to come from someone else.
“I’ll have kimchi pancakes,” Choi suggested, “if anyplace in China Town has them.”
Yeong looked around, not seeing Eun-Ji. He would be surprised if she hadn’t gotten up by this time.
“Moon Eun-Ji is outside?” he asked.
"Have Eun Ji make the call." smiled Sartre.
The library was filled with serious discussion about the evening from the three sisters.
"Not that I know of, I just think it would be sort of funny to see her make a call for a delivery," said Sartre.
In the chip: It seemed as if Prue was having a nightmare last night Alyssa. You were gone for quite a while, is she okay?”
Yelling could be her breaking out between. Prue and Phoebe. Prue screamed something about "Same Dreams." The sound of furniture flying could be heard before suddenly stopping.
"Sorry about that. My sisters are very worried about tonight. I had to freeze them in time to stop them." said Piper. as she emerged from the library. "I wanted to thank you all for everything, and helping us. I never thought we would leave the store. Let alone have our sister back, albeit Not in a good condition. She is very depressed for some reason. I'm going to have to contact our half sister from New York. Hopefully this will be over by then. It's always hard being the middle sibling.”
"I've not seen Enu-Ji this morning, at all. She likely isn't here." Was that outloud? Absolutely. Alyssa was annoyed about it, and her filter had once again dropped. It wasn't her team member, but she was starting to wonder why Yeong or Sung didn't say anything to Eun-Ji about her lack of being a team player.
The hacker shrugged, "Once we find out what the others want. I'll order through Doordash." That way multiple stops could be made.
Alyssa responded into the chip: I can't talk about it. Prue hadn't sworn her to secrecy but it felt like a violation saying what Prue had told her last night.
The fight, time frozen at least in one room, Alyssa looked confused. "Won't they just go back to fighting once you unfreeze them?" Though that did sound like a great power to have.
"I think they will get the message. " Kimchi Pancakes, Are over there on the counter." said Piper. The warm smell of the pancakes Came from a bag with Chinese writing. Among the Chinese calligraphy, there was the "P3" logo.
Alyssa hadn't forgotten about the food thing from last night but it felt a little like taking advantage. "I guess then maybe do a pancake, eggs, bacon, home fries for the rest of us. I'd get a lot, Max will have to eat. Thanks." Alyssa looked over at Choi. "What do those taste like?”
Choi grinned when he noticed the logo. “Thanks, Piper! You’re becoming my favorite,” he jested.
“Kimchi pancakes are made with fermented cabbage, of course,” Yeong answered Alyssa. “They are crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, hearty, spicy, savory, a little sweet, and a little sour. It’s all textures and flavors in one!”
He sniffed the aroma, bringing back memories of home. He looked over at Alyssa. “Want to try one?”
Piper completed Alyssa's request. Her pancakes had blue berries that spelled out "Blessed Be.”
Meanwhile Max woke up in a coat closet feeling cramped. He managed to get a somewhat decent night's sleep in the cramped closet. He wanted to avoid letting out his secret about his powers to the others since his father told him to avoid it. So he tried to stretch a bit before transforming into Agent Powers again. It was a tight squeeze out of the closet and he could not stand up till he was out of the closet. Once he was out he stretched a lot and flexed his large muscles before he smelled food coming from the kitchen. So he then made his way to the kitchen and saw others eating already. He gave them a smolder and greeted them before grabbing some breakfast.
"Sure. I guess." Despite her words she seemed a little unsure, but when would she get a chance to eat those again? She walked over and took one, the smell was a little strong and overwhelming. Alyssa wasn't opposed to trying new things, just not overly confident about this experience.
She took a bite and didn't hate them, "These aren't bad, about as spicy as Takis." She'd only eat one, before going to the food she was more used to.
Choi chuckled, glad to have someone like the Korean cuisine. “That’s kimchi; it has a bite.”
“So Piper,” Choi turned back to the sister, “how do we prepare for Prue’s boyfriend coming?”
While awaiting her answer, Choi texted Eun-Ji: Where are you? Breakfast is served. Kimchi pancakes; not bad!
"We cant prepare. We just wait." said the middle sister.
Agent Powers said, "Oh kimchi." Then he grabbed a large coffee and then took a few kimchi pancakes and bent them like a taco shell before he filled them with eggs and bacon covered in hot sauce. Then he smiled as he moved to a corner and ate in silence.
"Well we can't prepare for that but maybe we can prepare for what comes after that, at least a little." Alyssa suggested. "What if a group looks through the Book of Shadows, and another through The Bible of St. Edes and get copies of each. See if there's anything in either or both we might need. And agree to share everything. Actually why don't we split it so at least one Illuminati and one Dragon are on each team and the others can decide for themselves what to do." They had hours to kill, might as well do something useful.
Choi shrugged his shoulders. He was enjoying the kimchi pancakes, but a was wondering where Eun-Ji was. This girl had Yeong confused. Not that Choi understood many females. He actually didn’t understand any women at all.
“It sounds like a solid plan,” Choi agreed.
