Questioning The Padre

The priest stopped fighting back and dropped the gun. His face turned white as he was going into shock it was over for him. Sung looked around for a moment at the room, he took a few deep breaths and mumbled some words. "The Countess is gone. I think we really did unlock the seal to this room; I think we should have left it alone," Sung suggested as he looked back at the pastor. Sung reached down and touched the pastor's arm, which healed some stopping the bleeding. "We are done here, let's get what evidence or information needed and call in a crew to fix this place up." said Sung standing back up.

“Fix it up?” Choi questioned. “As soon as we leave this joint, I’m releasing pressure on this switch. There will be nothing to clean up.”

With all calming, Yeong began to wonder about Moon Yun-Ji. She had some explaining to do to himself and Sung. He knew she wouldn’t apologize to the Illuminati, but at least she should explain herself to her own team.

Agent Powers kept on guard till he heard Sung tell them the Lich was gone. He stayed on guard and helped Alyssa up as he said, "That was way too close. Do we need to do anything before we leave this place?" He was still on guard since he knew they were not safe yet.

"Mr. Duane, would you mind telling us why you were pointing guns toward us and strapped with several pounds of explosives?" asked Sartre.

Alyssa thanked Max for helping her up. She was quiet at the moment trying to take everything in, having been blocked from seeing anything before.

Her father seemed to watch her and then said, "We need to make sure everything is disarmed and there aren't any traps hidden away.”

"That's not my area of expertise," said Sartre.

Choi smiled a chaotic smile. “I say we just tie him up in here and I take the pressure off this dead man’s switch once we’re safely out.”

Mr. Duane just started to mumble things that did not make sense. He was clearly in shock now. His anxiety was very high. He was pale and somewhat shaky. Mr. Duane was not going to answer anything right now. Everyone did catch "My dear queen you have forsaken me." He kept repeating that phrase.

Choi Yeong was feeling his oats. He realized that was a funny term and he wondered about its history. He’d have to research it. Anyway, Choi’s chaotic side began to show.

He got nose-to-nose with Duane, a sly smile upon his face. He ensured he held the trigger of the deadman’s switch away from Duane, Duane’s hand, dripping dry of blood, still attached to it.

“Like I said,” Yeong jested, “we can ensure you rejoin your beloved queen. Would you like that?”

"Hold it. What do you mean by that Mr. Duane?" asked Sartre.

Alyssa rubbed her temple a moment, "Yeong, don't. Aren't we supposed to be rescuing this guy? What, do we suddenly not rescue people because their mind has been manipulated but some crazy Countess? If it was one of us would everyone just let us die?" That could have been her father or Alyssa herself or Sung or any of them.

"Peter, Charles there seems to be in shock. It might be best to not question him at the moment." Alyssa added. "Father, can you disarm him?" Pointing to Charles.

"Yes, and can do so without blowing him up." Matt replied.

Choi chuckled, turning to Alyssa. He gave her a wink, which was his way of saying he never intended to blow the preacher up. It was all shock value, Yeong’s chaotic sense of humor.

Agent Powers was a bit concerned by the conversation of using the bomb on the priest. He was not sure if they were serious or just trying to scare the priest into talking. He stayed on guard as he waited for the team to pack it up. He then asked, "So are we taking the padre in? And where are we going next?”

"Well, let me take care of this first," Matt said. He got down to the level of Charles. "Hold still."
