Steady now

Venya turned her head in the direction of the body and the now visible snake. She pulled back on her reigns and edged her mount and Kailus's back out of the immediate area and away from the snake and any possible harm to the mounts. Once clear she patted her mount and slowly rose to stand on her saddle pulling her weapons from their sheaths.
"Kailus be ready" she hefted her one of her knives by the blade and threw it aiming a foot or so away from the snake on the opposite side from Kailus..
