The past
(Cynthia, Perrine, Sophia)
Cynthia offered a polite smile, her eyes gleaming with a sudden joy when she saw the wolf-dog. She'd always loved animals, and prior to meeting Perrine, she would've just walked up and tried to pet the creature - but, she knew better. She'd been taught on her way to meet Johnathan that animals do not like to be approached first, especially if they were guarding a companion. Without taking any steps closer to The white haired girl and her companion, Cynthia introduced herself in a calm tone; "My name is Cynthia Black." She started, before moving slowly to gesture towards the woman standing behind her. "This is a friend of mine, she is a telepath and will have to evaluate you before you can enter our society. If Perrine has a good judgement of your companion, they are also welcome to come inside. Are you here to stay, or are you visiting someone?"

(John, Khun)
Johnathan almost continued trying to lead the way, but stopped when he noticed Khun avoiding eye contact. She seemed nervous, almost as if she were upset, but not quite. He quickly went back through the scene that had just played out before everyone left. Was it the emergence of Perrine, another man she didn't know? He bit his bottom lip in thought as he remembered she was still fairly comfortable. It wasn't until Cynthia showed up that he had noticed a change in Khun's behavior. Immediately, he drew the conclusion that his disappearance earlier must've upset Cynthia, therefor causing some chain reaction. Clearing his throat first, he attempted to calm Khun's nerves. The volume he spoke with was slightly more hushed than what would be considered a typical volume, and his tone was calm. "If Cynthia said or did anything that may have made you uncomfortable, please try not to dwell on it. She's probably upset because I left without saying anything earlier." He waited for a moment before saying anything else as in internally debated how much about he and Cynthia he was going to tell Khun. "We have.... some tension. We have for a while. Almost a year ago now, we dated for a few months.. before she decided that the society took priority and she needed some space. I always kind of held on to the hope that she might still want to be something more than friends again one day, mostly because she kept giving me signs that there was still something there. Unfortunately, it's been made clear to me that I was being lead on for a while. And... I'm not going to lie, it's hard for me not to feel a little bitter towards her. I still want her in my life, she's my closest friend, but she doesn't like that I need space. I think a part of her is still hanging on to the past, even though that's all it is. It's the past." After a few seconds, he realized he may have just assumed what the issue was, been wrong, and randomly shared too much information. His cheeks bared the slightest hint of a red hue as he pressed his lips together. "I'm sorry. That may have been a bit too much at once. I don't really talk to anyone about that kind of thing. Guess I needed it off my chest." He said, following the sentence with a half hearted chuckle to try and lighten the mood.

(Lydia, Finlay)
Unable to rest without knowing Finlay's state, Lydia requested the nurses bring her paper and something to write with. A bright eyed volunteer-nurse soon brought her a notepad and a red felt tipped pen before sitting in the corner with a book, waiting for Lydia's next request. Without hesitating, Lydia put the pen to paper and began writing a note.
Hi Finlay, this is Lydia. I don't know if you're awake yet, or if you're even doing okay. A few people reassured me that you're stable, but it could've been a lie to get me to comply. When you wake up, can you write something back and have the nurses bring it to me? I've been worried that I may have pushed you too hard and caused some serious damage. Tell me how you're feeling. Plus, I want to update your father as soon as I'm able to. Not to sound too cheesy, but I hope you get well soon.
Lydia waved the nurse over and handed her the paper, her heart pounding in her ears. She wasn't quite sure why her heart rate sped up, or why she was nervous about Finlays well being, but she did know that he may be upset, depressed, worried, or whatever other emotion, and she wanted to try and provide some comfort.
