Perrine smiled and said hello, which sounded like a mispronounced hello mixed with a cat’s meow. He nodded cordially to Khunara before returning his attention to Johnathan. He had prepared in writing what he wanted to say beforehand. He wanted to keep this as brief as possible, he wasn’t here to catch up or dilly dally.

He handed a piece of paper over to John. It said, “Hi John. The supplies are unloaded topside. In addition I brought a teenage girl and wolf that I found searching in this direction. They are looking for someone that is inside your community. Can you come to the entrance and take them off my hands please so that I may be about my business?”

He waited patiently for a response. His entire demeanor seemed calm and peaceful, like he moved at his own pace apart from that of the community below.
