Stepping Into A Dream
Khun sits for a bit, feeling antsy and uncomfortable as she waits to see if Finlay will wake. She wants to make sure all is well with him, but doesn't wish to do it while he slumbers. That is an invasion of privacy to her, a breach in a silent contract to her power, but she knows there must be a reason the boy is not waking. She wants to know what is going on in his mind, what is keeping him from returning to the world of the conscious.
Since everyone else seems distracted, she gets up and returns to the room Finlay slumbers in. The nurses are gone for now, leaving her to do what she must in order to find answers. Grabbing a chair, she settles it down by the bed and sits in it, turning her attention to the boy.
She is hesitant to do this, but knows there is nothing else she can do. Waiting is not always the answer.
Setting a hand down atop one of Finlay's, Khun closes her eyes and lets her ability as a Dream Walker begin to take hold. Her breathing evens out and steadies itself, her mind moving through a euphoric plane of colors and shapes, dancing through memories and touching at thoughts. Her mental fingers reach out, touching at invisible threads that connect the human psyche in all its neural pathways.
With a gasp, she is suddenly standing before the young man…
"Finlay?" She asks in her soft voice.
