JP - Water and Ice
“Tzeitel is acting like she ate too many joulutorttu.” Piritta said, eating another pastry. “I for one can try punching Thrane in the dick again.”
Delilah sighed heavily and ran a hand down her face. “Why is everyone leaving?!”
“Mä en tiedä, but I’m probably your heaviest hitter… and Thrane beat me last time I faced him.” Piritta admitted.
Delilah paced and nodded. Piritta had a point there. “We should all work on preparing and meet up at the truck tomorrow morning. Okay?” She informed everyone. “Mark, I need you to pinpoint where they took James. He made sure to have a personal tracker put in the metal embedded into the back of his neck.” This had been also given to James by Riley, who he asked for it from.
Sorley walked into the room with Gelf. “Hi… can we help?”
Delilah stared at them. “Yes…yes, you both can!” She pulled Gelf and Sorley over, showing them plans that could hopefully get them in and out with James before anyone noticed what had happened.
“My fiancee’s power is amazing.” Sorley said, knowing how useful a teleporter is during an escape.
“We’ll need yours too, though,” Delilah reminded him. “Your water ability could help Riven. He’s an ice user, but if he doesn’t actually have to make the ice on his own, he’ll have an easier time holding off people for us. Think you can work with him on that?”
“I guess.” Sorley said. “I usually just pummel people with balls of water, or drown them.”
“Well, Riven can help you do more with that if yer willing to talk to him.” Delilah said with a smile.
“As long as I can still protect Gelf.” Sorley said, as if Gelf did not protect him more often than the other way around.
“I won’t stop you.” Delilah chuckled softly. “Riven should be somewhere in here…”
Riven would be seen heading out the door.
Gelf teleported in front of Riven, taking Sorley with her. “HI!” She chimed.
Riven yelped and fell back. “WOMAN!”
Sorley gave Riven an apologetic look, though it was funny. He squeezed Gelf’s hand. “Hi. Delilah thinks we should work together.”
“As long as you can promise she won’t give me a heart attack before I’m thirty.” Riven said.
“I won’t.” Sorley promised, not forcing Gelf to promise any such thing.
“I solemnly swear I won’t give you a heart attack, Riven.” Gelf giggled.
“I suddenly fear for my life…so, how would you like to work together, Sorley.” Riven asked as he got up and brushed off.
“I can control water… so I guess you can freeze it.” Sorley shrugged.
Riven thought for a moment. “Hmmm…having water already there will keep me from using up too much energy when I use my power.” He explained.
“I can’t make water… But I can move a lot of it, and there’s a lot of water to be found anywhere. Especially when there’s plumbing.” Sorley said.
Riven smiled. “And a lot of MegaCorp facilities love to be over water.”
Gelf giggled. “This’ll be fun.”
“Yeah.” Sorley wrapped an arm around Gelf and gave her a hug. He loved this woman, how adventurous she was.
Riven pointed at her. “You still scare me.”
“Aw, it’s okay, Riven, I won’t hurt you.” Gelf gave him an innocent look that made the wolf man scamper away.
Poor Sorley started to blush.
“What are you blushing for, handsome?” Gelf leaned into Sorley and winked at him. “Come on, let's go check on Evie and Kiana before going to get some rest. We’ll need all the energy we can get if we want to kick Thrane’s ass.”
The wink had Sorley blushing even more deeply. “Yeah, let’s go see them.” He said huskily.
Before they could even head for Evie’s room, Gelf noticed the group forming. “They look like they’re about to head out…”
“Yeah… Do they have a specific location yet?” Sorley asked.
