JP - Aunt River

Sorley brought the children to River’s room. He knocked on the door, then held their little hands as he waited for the door to be opened.

River opened the door and looked at them. “Come on in,” She said, coaxing them all into the room. “Thank you, Sorley.”

Lotus and Leon didn’t let go of Sorley’s hands until Anastasia walked over and offered hers to them. They were very grateful for all the kind adults around them.

“They’re good kids.” Sorley hoped that the kid he and Gelf had were as well-behaved.

River nodded. "...how is Klaire?" She asked.

“She’s really upset.” Sorley did not blame her, if Gelf had been taken he would be more than upset. “They’re getting a team ready to rescue James.”

“That’s good,” River replied and let out a sigh, sitting at the desk in the room while Anastasia distracted the kids with books they liked. The Loreen-look-a-like was very gentle and sweet to them, so much unlike the real Loreen everyone knew. Even when Amber came in to play, she was still kind and friendly.

Gelf would knock on the door after a bit. “Hey, I think Yule and Haven are gonna come with us to the farm.” She said softly and waved to River. “Should we join that rescue team for James?”

"Sure." Sorley smiled. "How are they doing?"

“Pretty good compared to how they were upon arrival. Yule is gonna keep her baby and I’m pretty sure Haven isn’t going to be leaving her side. They’re best friends.”

"It's good that they have each other." Sorley said. "It would be interesting having a baby on the farm too." Sorley thought having their little niece or nephew around would be good practice for when they had their own baby.

Gelf nodded and smiled at him. “Let's go see what the plan is, okay?” She took his hand and gently pulled him along. River and Anastasia would keep the kids safe.

Holding hands with Gelf always made Sorley smile. He gently squeezed her hand and went to the others.
