Dark History - Tzeitel vs Piritta
Almost one year before Tzeitel's Escape from MegaCorp. (Six years ago)

Tzeitel did not entirely understand this meta’s powers. Some kind of increased stamina? The girl was slippery, having escaped capture at least two times before. Not considered especially dangerous, but wanted because the organization could not just leave a meta alone. They seemed to want her even more because she had evaded capture. Everyone was tense and Tzeitel had spent most of the hunt using her powers just to sooth the rest of the team.
They had chased her into a box canyon, the target was trapped against a sheer cliff.
“Holy shit, I see her!” A soldier shouted. “She’s climbing.”
“Impossible!” The team leader stared up the cliff. “Tranq her.”
“The fall will kill her.”
“I said tranq her.” The team leader said. “I don’t care if it kills her, I’m not having that damned Swede escape me.”
Tzeitel looked up the cliff face, and up, and up. The target was way up there. A tranq dart may as well be a bullet at that height. “I can try scaring her down!” Tzeitel shouted.
The team leader glared at her.
“If I had some room maybe I could affect her more than my own team.” Tzeitel said.
“If you fail you’ll regret it.” The team leader said, motioning to the others to back off but stayed standing behind her.
“Sir, you’re closer to me than the target.”
“Scare her you lazy bitch.” He snapped.
Tzeitel reached out with her power. She started with a light touch, it should not take much, the girl must be scared already climbing so high with only hand holds. And it was growing dark. But the meta continued climbing. Tzeitel pressed harder.
Several soldiers shrieked, she heard some running away.
The team leader himself pissed his pants and began to flee before remembering himself. He pushed the red button on his fob.
Tzeitel barely had enough time to appreciate the spreading wet spot on his pants before she collapsed to the ground, electricity running through her. “I only did what you told me to.” She gasped when she could speak again.
He zapped her again, then kicked her. Tzeitel doubled over, clutching her stomach and instinctively tightening her back muscles expecting another kick to the kidneys but it did not happen because the other soldiers were too far away to join in on the beating.
“Get your asses back over here!” The team leader ordered. “Tranq her!”
No! Tzeitel stared up the cliff, the meta was not scared down. If anything she was climbing faster.
The team’s best sniper fired. The meta paused for a moment, then continued climbing.
“I hit her, she’ll be down in fifteen minutes.”
“She’s not even slowing. Tranq her again.”
The sniper fired again.
Again the meta only paused, before continuing to climb.
“I want her dead if that’s what it takes. Don’t let her escape.” The team leader said.
“Tranq her.”
Several more tranquilizer darts were fired. The meta kept climbing. It was amazing. Tzeitel could make out the bright red ends of several darts sticking out of her jeans.
“She’s getting out of range, sir.” The sniper said apologetically.
The team leader swore and grabbed his walkie. “We need a chopper. The damned Swedish eel is climbing a fucking cliff. We tranqed her- it isn’t working. She must be immune.”
It grew too dark for Tzeitel to see, but soldiers watched the meta’s progress through night vision goggles. It should have been impossible, but the meta climbed up the entire cliff.
Tzeitel knew it meant nothing good for her, but inwardly she cheered the meta on.
“She’s… pulling the darts out of herself, sir.” The sniper reported. “Er…”
“What is it?”
“She made a rude gesture at us. She’s gone now, sir.”
“Fuck!”
Tzeitel was dropped again by the volts from her collar.
