JP - Freezing in a Hug

Alex knocked on the door from the other side.

Saija flinched and looked at the door in fear.

Haven also looked nervously at the door. “Uh, who is it?” She called.

"It's Alex and Susi,"Alex answered " just wanted to check on you ladies is now a bad time?"

“I don’t know…” Haven said, looking at Yule and the new girl.

“H-hold on a moment, okay? We need to speak with our new guest.” Yule called back before looking at Saija. “Alex is a really good friend to Susi and others here and will keep his distance, so you don’t need to worry about him, okay? Plus, Susi, his wife, will be here so you have no worries…is it okay for them to come in and visit us?”

Saija looked nervous, but she nodded.

Haven slipped on the gloves she had gotten last night, though she did not want to touch anyone, even with gloves on.

“You can come in, guys,” Yule called.

Alex slowly opened the door “how are ya’ll feeling do you need anything?”

Saija cringed away from the newcomers.

Haven shrugged. For having a miscarriage yesterday and thinking her own powers killed it and being woken up with nightmares and suffering from PTSD, she was as well as could be expected.

Alex gave the new girl some space walking over to Yule and giving her a smile.

Yule offered a tired smile. “Hello again…” She practically whispered.

Susi smiled as well and found a chair to sit in. “Aside from everything that’s happened, how is your body feeling, Haven? Any other changes? If you need help with anything, you can let us or anyone else know, okay?”

"Is there anything I can get you?" Alex whispered in a caring tone while giving her a gentle hug.

Haven flushed and looked down at her gloves.

Yule froze at the hug.

Susi tilted her head. "You okay, Haven?"

"Sorry I should have asked first" Alex whispered letting go.

Haven shrugged uncomfortably. It was nothing that would kill her.

“I…It’s okay…” Yule whispered, shifting in place. “I’m just not used to the…good kind of hugs.”

Susi frowned and pulled out some gum from her pocket. “Want some? It’s Juicy Fruit!"

Haven glanced at Yule in sympathy. The thought of being hugged terrified her. She looked at the gum, stared at it really. She had not seen a pack of gum in five years. Slowly she nodded.

Alex nodded in sympathy "do you want another?" He asked in a whispered fine.

Susi slid a few sticks of the gum to Haven and popped a piece into her own mouth.

Yule slowly nodded, only to stare at the door when Gelf stepped inside.

Alex turned to Gelf and gave her a smile "I heard some congratulations are in order for you and Sorely."

Sorley blushed, but he was smiling as he hung back by the doorway. He did not go in the room in case any of the women were uncomfortable.

Kiana stepped inside with Gelf. “Right? They’re so fucking cute, Gelf, show them the ring.”

Haven accepted the gum with a small “Thank you.” She was still nervous and uncomfortable.

Saija stared at Sorley with obvious fear. His hair was the wrong color but he looked so much like that monster.

Face flushed, Gelf showed off the ring.

Yule stared at the ring. “To…him?” She asked, looking over at Sorley with curiosity. “Take…take good care of her, okay?”

“I will.” Sorley’s blush deepened. He recognized the scared look on the other girl’s face. Oh shit Sorley thought, taking another step back.

Oblivious to Saija’s terror, Kiana patted Gelf on the arm. “Both of you blush so much.”

Alex took notice "say why don't we talk more in the lounge I'm sure our new friend could use some peace and quiet."

“Uhm…do you mind if I stay here with Haven and Saija?” Yule asked while Susi was already coaxing Gelf and Kiana out of the room.

Saija watched the door, afraid of the man who looked so much like the monster coming back.

Kiana let herself be coaxed from the room, frowning slightly.

“Did you see how she looked at me?” Sorley asked Gelf in a soft voice. “He is the one who hurt her.”
