5 years ago: saying goodbye

5 years ago, before the fall of the village.

Alex had made sure he was alone when he approached her, he was nervous already just being there and didn't know if he could do it if anyone was watching. Flowers in hand He walked up to her and spoke.

"I'm sorry we never really had a chance to speak beforehand this timeline. I mean I know we're practically strangers but I remember us a different timelines being while as close as two people can get. Riley calls it temporal displacement from messing with the timelines others in the village are suffering from it but I'm pretending not to. They're only getting bits and pieces but I remember everything about us. I remember how kind you were to me and your sisters and even though you tried to hide behind a tough exterior at times. I remember us laughing and playing together as kids and most importantly I remember how beautiful you looked in that dress at the wedding."

Closing his eyes for a moment he took a deep breath before continuing. "I wish you and I had more time together here, you would have loved Susi. She's a lot like you in many ways she's been the best thing to ever happen to me. I know the other you would have approved. I love her with all my heart but a part of me will also love you just like Yule."

Kneeling down he placed the flowers down on the grave. Looking at the tombstone with tears in his eyes.

"Goodbye Nikki."
