JP - Five Years Ago - Someone had Sold out the Village - VC pt 1

When Tzeitel came home from shopping something about the cottage felt wrong the moment she touched her door. Too quiet, as if it was empty. The door was locked, which was not unusual - but usually Piritta or the kids would have been at the door letting her in by now, most of the time Cody would meet her at the car to help her carry things in. Tzeitel got out her keys and opened the door. She found Piritta lying on the floor, limp and too still.

“Ami! Cody!” Tzeitel screamed for her children as she knelt by Piritta. Piritta was alive, just unconscious. She had some gel smeared on her arm, Tzeitel pulled out her phone and called Frisk as she looked around her home for the kids. She did not find them. But she did find Cody's collar broken and laying on the floor with some of that gel on it.

"Frisk! The kids are gone and Piritta is unconscious!"

"I'll be there in a minute, I'm just a few doors down."

Of course Tzeitel called Klaire as she waited for Frisk. Telling her what she found when she came home.

Sadly, Klaire would answer, but she could barely get a hello in before there was a lot of yelling and chaotic sounds. It was followed by gunshots and she would hear Klaire yell, “Fuck you, Thrane!” just before the call cut off.

There would be an explosion of fire at the main house that was, for once, not caused by James. His was more potent, visible and roaring and rarely smoked before going out. This was something new, something wrong…

Someone had sold out the village.

“Klaire!” Tzeitel shouted into her phone but the connection was cut. She stared towards the Main House just as Frisk arrived.

She let Frisk in her cabin and Frisk put on gloves as she looked at Piritta, recognizing the gel. Frisk wiped the gel from Piritta’s arm carefully. “This stuff is from Cain. She’ll wake up when she works out what’s in her system.”

“Try to wake her up faster, we’re gonna need her!” Tzeitel got her gun from its hidden safe and ran outside. She wanted to go to Cain’s cottage and kill that condescending dick for kidnapping her kids, she wished she had killed him the first time he messed with her family. But she did not know if he would even be there, would he be stupid enough to take her kids and go to the first place she would look for him? She needed Klaire to help her track. But her kids being taken was not the only thinking going on at the moment. Klaire had been yelling about Thrane, and she had not missed that explosion at the Main House.

Tzeitel ran towards the Main House.

Colt was already at the Main House, using his sword to slice up and kill those strange creatures of Cain’s Hive. “What the fuck is going on?!” He yelled toward Annie, who was cleaving MegaCorp soldiers up. “How did they find us?!”

“Someone sold us out!” James growled and glared toward Cain’s cabin. “That fucker!” He set a few soldiers on fire and grabbed up some of the members of the village, trying to get them to run - to escape. “Just go!”

Annie noticed Tzeitel. “Hello, friend,” She called in a strangely calm tone and kicked a soldier hard in the nuts. “Are you searching for the children, too?”

"Cain kidnapped my kids." Tzeitel glared towards Cain and Megan's cottage too. "I don't know if that fucker was stupid enough to just go home with them… he's arrogant enough to think he could steal my son and Ami and just get away with it."

Tzeitel blew the brains out of a soldier.

"I have not seen Megan in some time." Annie finished off a soldier and stepped over to Tzeitel, settling her claymore on a shoulder. Blood dropped off the blade as if it had enjoyed killing those soldiers. "I did see Klaire and the twins, though. I believe they've made their way to the east side of the village to help others. Shall we check on Cain?"

"I'm gonna kill that condescending dick. I should have killed him the first time he messed with my family." Tzeitel rubbed her arms as she headed towards Cain's cabin.

Colt would already be at the cabin as Tzeitel made her way there. "If you don't open this fucking door, I'm gonna break it, Cain!" He yelled, already pressing a hand to the door and forcing wind to cut into it.
