JP - She chose Punch

Ryan rested his head against the pillow in the dark room. The doctors had hooked him up to several IVs to get more calories in his body to jumpstart his healing factor. The man had been essentially starved for years to limit his powers.

Seele would walk in and check the IVs for the nurses, brushing her red curls aside. “Ya got pretty banged up, didn’t ya speedy?” She asked, tilting her head to the side as she wrote down his vitals.

"Turns out you can only piss them off by escaping so much before they get mad" he chuckled.

Seele flicked his nose. “Just a warning, Juno’s here.” She told him. “If ya ever wanna cover up the scars with some tattoos, let me know, Ryan.” She looked at the door as if expecting Juno to waltz in at any moment.

Juno was waiting around the corner too nervous to enter.

Seele tapped a foot. “Juno! Get yer ass in here already!” She called. “Or I’ll put a heart tattoo on your ass!”

Juno nervously entered the room and stared at him tears in her eyes. Before Ryan could say anything she knocked him out with a punch before freaking out and running away.

“Damn it, Juno!” Seele groaned and had to get a doctor to come in and make sure Ryan didn’t have a concussion. “Poor bastard. I’m totally putting rabbit faces on each of her ass cheeks now.”

After the doctor made sure Ryan was okay he went about letting everyone know who won the betting pool about Juno knocking Ryan out.

Seele sighed heavily, rolling her eyes and patted Ryan’s face. “Oi, wake up.”

"Why does my head hurt" Ryan spoke trying to open his eyes.

“Juno knocked ya out.” Seele said, grinning. “I won a bet.”

"I see she's still upset about the rig then" Ryan groaned.

“Well, ya both were supposed to get out.” Seele tapped a few things on the console and made sure his IV was working right. “Just relax and get some rest for now. Want me to call that pretty cat girl to come see ya?”

Ryan blushed before chuckling nervously "how did you know about her did I talk in my sleep or something?"

“No, she mentioned ya were hot.” Seele said with a shrug. “I did shave your beard and mustache off. Ya looked ridiculous, Ryan.”

Ryan moved his hand up to his face feeling that it was clean shaven "Thanks they wouldn't exactly let me have razors in there" he chuckled "but yeah I'd like to see her if she wants to there's just something about her."

“Yeah, something about you two tells me you’ll be together before any of us can make bets.” Seele laughed as she left the room.

Megan would soon enter the room, a tray with two plates of food on it. “Hello!”

Ryan smiled as she entered the room "hey good to see you again" he spoke his stomach growling loudly.

“I knew you’d want to actually eat something.” Megan said as she set one of the plates on the table and wheeled it over to him so he could enjoy the meal.

"I appreciate it it's been a while since I had some actual food" Ryan replied as he slowly began to eat "they didn't trust me with it."

“Well, you can have all the food you want here,” Megan told him, eating her own meal.

"Feels weird though like I'm dreaming" Ryan whispered while eating "afraid I'll wake up in my cell again with that damn blinder on."

“I used to think that about the Hive…and Cain.” Megan said softly, tapping her fork on the plate. “But…Leimomi helped me a lot. She taught me ways to, you know, cope. Her and Frisk. Maybe they can help you.”

Ryan nodded and reached over to place his hand on hers "thanks if you ever need to talk about this Cain or Hive I'm willing to listen."

Megan looked at his hand and smiled softly. “Thanks, same to you.” For some reason she felt she could trust this guy.

"So Megan why don't you tell me more about you" Ryan replied setting his empty tray aside "I'm sure there's more to you than a pair of cute cat ears."

Megan blushed as her tail flicked. “Well…” She began to tell him about her life, somehow finding it very easy to open up to Ryan.

Ryan smiled as he listened to her, once she was finished he began to tell her his own life of living in Megacorp. The whole time they were talking he was still holding her hand.

As he told her about his life, Megan’s fingers laced with his and she listened intently. When he was done, she would hug him gently. “You’ve been through a lot…it’s gonna be okay now.”

Ryan felt a couple of tears run down his face as he returned the hug " you too Megan I'm glad to have met you."

“Hey, no crying, mister.” Megan said with a soft smile and wiped them away for him. “You’re safe now. You’ve got people here to look after you.”

Ryan blushed as he felt her gentle hands on his face while looking in her eyes. Unable to speak he just nodded.

“Now, so Juno won’t come in and punch you again, might want to get some more rest.” Megan explained with a soft giggle.

"Don't suppose I could ask you to stay the night" Ryan asked, gesturing to the empty spot on the bed.

Megan shook her head. "I gotta head home and check up on my brother and cousins."

"Will I see you again soon?" Ryan asked, giving her a hug.

“Of course you will,” Megan hugged him back and smiled. “You focus on healing up.”

Ryan smiled before blushing "maybe once I'm healed up the two of us could go out sometime what do you say?"

“I’ll hold you to it.” Megan said with a wink before leaving. She needed to get a ride back from Abraham.

Ryan smiled before laying down to sleep. As he did, a familiar bunny girl would sit by his bed careful not to disturb him.
