buy the time the girls got out alex and sam were already working the fence. rainey didnt want to see alex. she felt horrible for the way she had bailed on him nd didnt think she could face him. he might make her explain why. marley waved to sam whith a bright smile as they got closer." morning!!" she chirped as she slid from her horse and practicly bounced over to them with a sullen rainey following behind her."heey twinsies" she said and poited to sams black eye then her own. Kate gave orders to some of the other ranch hands then joined them. "yes about that.. that should not have happened. its not a good look for you to put your bosses daughter in harms way in less than 24 hours of being employed. i fully expect nothing like that to happen again."
marley rolled her eyes behind Kate and mocked her last sentiance while making a face. rainey shoved her hands in her pockets and staired at her boots. Kate didnt wait for is answer but kept right on with her spill. "now i have to meet with the rangers today and make sure they get settled in. i dont care who dose what jobs but i need that group of calfs countged and tagged and the whole herd is to be moved down to the barns so we can run them through the bull-tongs, they all have to be vaxed today." she said looking down at her cell phone. " i have the other ranch hands ready to take orders so marley and rainey are runnning the show today." she tipped her at to the then turned on her horse and loped away.
maryley strached "well id be bored out of my mined doing a fence all day so ill leave that to rainey." her sister nodeed without looking up "yeah ill nock it out today..we only have about a mile or so to run." marley climbed back into her saddle. "sounds good to me...i guess who ever is with me saddle up and lets getter donw boys." she said with a grin. rainey stared slipping her gloves on and moved to start on the fence. she didnt look up to see who staied or who went just started getting the job done.

Amelia parked her car and briskly walked to her ride. she took note that the new driver already had it warmed up and ready to go. he was standing there when she walked up and opened the door for her. she got in and he closed it. she didn't talk to him much in fact to the naked eye it might have looked like she didn't even look at him. in truth she had seen every inch of him. from his hat to his boots to his weathered hands, the way he held his self and look completely at ease in his environment. she flipped through her papers and frowned down at documents. when they landed a while later, she smiled briefly to herself. oh, he was good that was probably the smoothest ride and landing she had been on in a while. she waited till the bird died down and he opened the door for her again before speaking to him. " Well Mr. Riddle. that was a very good first impression. but I expected as much from someone with your background. the girl from the office did tell you everything didn't she? this is the king rang. everyone works and very few people do just one job. you will be expected to work same as every other ranch hand here on days you don't fly. also, you should be made aware this is 24 hour 7 days a week 365 days a year job. we hardly have days off. so, if you have a family or something you should be going home to this might not be for you. most workers live on the ranch. you will give everything to this ranch or. it demands it. if you can't then don't stay and let me know right here... now if you can handle that I'd say you got the job." she said checking her watch "oh and don't try to swing off on your survivors here...my girls are mighty mean and might just put you in the dirt if you tried. now i have meeting in five so i got to be going id like you to do me a favor. we have a deal running with our neighbor ranch. transporting their kids from home to school. no busses run out here, so we have been picking them up and dropping them. fly home take one of the work trucks and do that for me if you can then pick me up in say ooh 3 or 4 hours. the new nanny is set to start today so this should be the only time you have to do this." she gave him a smile and held out her hand for a shake. "Welcome to the team Mr. Riddell I'm eager to see how you hold up."

Anna paced the house for a while then plopped down on their large fancy sectional. she pulled out her phone and flipped through pics of her and Sam. she missed him and hated this. with a sigh she texted him. hey...I'm sorry about the fight with your friend. I was just upset you were leaving. I know I acted insane and it wasn't right of me...still friends?
