01.23: Questions

Listening to Jamie, the brunette was silent for a long moment. "What do you mean by school. What's a school?" Allora asked after thinking through her many questions. "Is it that place where you learn things? Big brother used to go to a place to learn things...he never told me what it was, but I heard it's fun to learn. I learn a lot from the science books he brought me."

Realizing she was babbling, blue eyes fell to her lap where hands curled into fists and squeezed the fabric of the dress she wore. "I'm sorry...I shouldn't talk so much."

The way her tone changed to something of an obedient dog was very obvious. There was a deadpan to her voice, a sad look in her deep blue eyes. She was falling into line as if something had been triggered and she needed to follow a protocal to keep from getting into trouble.

It took a long moment and probably some words from Jamie before she spoke again, but when she did that childish wonder was back. "Do you get to use your powers all the time in this school? I...I don't have to hide my crystals anymore, do I?" She asked with hope in her voice. "If I used my power at home I...I got..." Her eyes fell to the long scars riddling her legs.
