16: Nightcrawler

Kurt saying he wasn't selfish did not really ring true from Jamie's experience of the boy as he did whatever he liked without a thought about others. As his student mentor Jamie knew he couldn't come down too hard on the kid, he was new to the school but the avalanche of incidents in just one day was unparalleled.
Jamie would need to recommend counselling but that was hardly unusual for a student coming here, it might already be in the pipeline.

The fact that Jamie had gone out of his way to find Kurt after he fled should tell the young German something. This was a different life this was not the circus, and treating everyone like they were his uncle... Well, his old ways of dealing with things were not going to work here. In fact they were going to work against him. No one here had been anything but considerate and helpful, even kind. How long would that last if nothing positive ever came back from Kurt?
