"That nurse said I would be good to go home soon, though," Allora said through a hiss of her teeth, but seemed to calm down at Jamie's words. "Where are you planning to take me after this?"

Whatever pain medication they had given her was working very well because she had energy again, but the fear was still there. The panic was gone thanks to Jamie, but her fear would not dissipate. She was worried her brother would step around any corner and come to drag her back home.

One of the nurses looked toward Jamie. "I don't care if she has powers or not, but she needs to get back in bed before her wounds open up again. Think one of you boys can help with that?" She asked.
