.oO(Let’s get ready to rumble?) Danny had no idea, the explanation had not helped one bit.
“I dunno… Ah fighting where they don’t hurt each other… Boxing maybe? Sorry, I really have no clue.”
He watched Kurt scanning the rules on screen.
“There are several swimming pools here. And people to help you learn. There’s not much staff but all pupils help out with teaching where they can. We have a few little ones here I read to them, it’s not much but every little helps. So we can find you a swim teacher if you want one. I have heard that there are fencers here, a couple of world class ones by all accounts.
“Really? Really? You cannot seriously believe… You are kidding right?” Danny said. He hated this kind of superstitious bullshit, no one was that stupid in the twenty first century. “It’s a piece of tech nothing more.”
“When did you realize you were… different?”
“A mutant? When one gang decided to use an under twelves football game as an example to another gang by having a multiple drive by shooting. I took multiple hits protecting a kid and there wasn’t a mark on me. My mom did not take it well, having a demon for a son, she threw me out.
“And you are no more a demon than I am Kurt.”
Danny watched the tv news.
“You told me the circus was a real rundown thing, they had no money and no acts. And the day after you come to America, your dirt bag of an uncle manages to make the news over here. What with? How'd he get the money and make arrangements that fast? And since when the hell was a circus going anywhere, news? Even those big ones in Vegas are never newsworthy. This one really has to be a joke."
