16: Nightcrawler (By Danny Adeniran)

Danny was quite happy with his new roommate. Most people might see the language as a problem, Danny thought it was fun, if nothing else it gave them something to talk about.
“As well as a phone you get a tablet, like an iPad thing, they will issue you with a laptop you can work on in lessons or in here for homework. Let’s go over to the Administration building and get you set up, does that sound okay?”
In what used to be the old carriage house of the estate, the day to day administration of the school took place. With so few pupils the place was not overly busy.
Kurt was given his own personalised IT equipment and sufficient school clothing, uniform and sports gear. As they had his measurements his issue clothing had made allowance for his tail. It was all ID tagged to him, so all he had to do was put his clothes in the laundry hamper in his room and they would be cleaned and returned to him.
As he had very little in the way of belongings he was issued with a charge card that had some money on it so he could buy himself a few personal things in town, clothes, toiletries and the like. Money would be put onto it each week as an allowance.
“We do have a staffed kitchen for the refectory, and each dormitory has its own little kitchen next to it.”
Danny assumed that Bruno was the circus strongman who had been mentioned earlier.
“As for Islamic demons… well I am a lapsed muslim, I still believe in Allah, God, just not their version of him.” Danny shrugged. “Or maybe her.”
When Danny found out that Kurt’s mother was here too and that she made cakes he was all up for meeting her. He could never resist meeting accomplished cooks.
