12: Ni-Bump-ght - Part Two

The size of the human population of the planet boggled Harry's mind some days.
"Yes there are many people, and like with people the more spirits you have the more chance there is some will go bad."
“Yeah banish, send it back where it came from and kick its ass over the boundary so it can never come back. I’ve done it before. They are not meant to be here Ayala, so their grasp on our world is weak, easy to break. If it is too strong… there is nothing either you or Dee can do. I will have to kill it.”
He didn’t bother to tell her that it would, in all probability, it would be a terminal experience. For all his abrasiveness Harry had an aversion to killing, it was a last resort, even for a spirit.
Her spear was made of rock from space. So was the entire planet. That meant nothing.
The myth of vampires being repulsed by the crucifix was based on empirical data, viewed through a Christian eye. A Star of David wielder by a believer of Judaism is just as effective. It wasn't the symbol it was the faith that was the key to the barrier. It didn't matter what the faith was in, a Russian Night Witch of his acquaintance had told him of an ardent Chinese communist who had kept vampires at bay with her little red book.
“Your spear might be very, very important Ayala.” She had faith, Harry did not, oh he believed in magic, it was something he knew and understood, therefore it was not a matter of faith for him. Ayala’s faith was worth a mountain of power.
