12: Ni-Bump-ght

Harry was as alert as he could be but even though Salem Center was a small town there were a lot of people. He was aware of her moving with him but had no idea what DeeGee was doing.
"Remember the laws I spoke of, one of them is you cannot kill another person. If you do it is called murder, and the killer is a murderer." He didn't speak quickly and kept his voice low, but loud enough for her to hear. "Possession is when an evil spirit moves into someone."
For Ayala the what she had sensed back at the Institute was so much stronger here in town. She would have expected a place with so many people to have some spirits she could have spoken with but they were conspicuous by their very absence.
A little further back what DeeGee knew as ghosts were also non-existent, which was weird because there was usually some trace to be felt, but now there was nothing.
