Harry moved through the streets of Salem Center. He was getting a better sense of what was going on. Who and where, would be terrific additions to that list. There was too little information.
Ayala had an instinctive awareness which had probably atrophied over the millennia in the descendants of her people. He suspected that DeeGee existed on the boundary between the afterlife and the world of the living; she had a physical presence. The spirits that escaped this Boundary had to find a physical body because without one they would simply dissipate like any vestigia. So this escapee must have already found a host. Deaths were certain to follow, an escaped spirit was inimical to life, they lived off it.
He was going to have to put up detection wards around the town and hope that the spirit went through them. Or that one of these women could sense them, a spike in the power of the spirit would occur when it killed but Harry wanted to find it before the first death.
