12: Ni-Bump-ght - Dead Girl

Breakstone Lake had a flow roughly from the east to towards the dam at the western end, it was barely perceptible in such a huge body of water. But that did bring a little debris from the feeder rivers in. So that debris along with it being pitch black under the water of the lake rendered the flashlight useless. Jenny could not even see her feet. The debris also created a fine silt over the floor of the lake, this made it treacherous underfoot.
She slipped a couple of times but the lungs full of air from the breath she had taken helped her stay upright.
Jenny became aware that as she moved into the water her perception that had alerted her had diminished to almost nothing. Whatever it was was most definitely not in this direction.
Then there was nothing under her foot and she started to slide, her feet flailed to gain some traction but there was none to be had. When her descent finally stopped the flashlight had disappeared into the gloom, and she could feel in her body that the pressure had increased considerably.
