12: Ni-Bump-ght - Ayala and Dead Girl

It was night, and the mansion was quiet and Jenny was asleep in her new apartment when she came awake with a strange but oddly familiar sensation. It was something to do with what she knew of as ghosts. But this house was devoid of ghosts, everyone associated with this place had moved on.
Down in the girls’ dorm rooms at exactly the same moment Ayala’s eyes opened, warrior instincts told her something was amiss. Whatever it was was not close by. It was spirit related. The spirits in this world were different, like they were ‘other’ people than the ones she was familiar with. She could sense the merest hint of a tether all the way back through the millennia to her time. She supposed that everyone here had uncounted ancestors, she did not but that spiritual connection was there nevertheless.
