07: Ayala Ethan POV)
"Well, the best teacher of language is movies," Ethan suggested. He was the resident videophile. He watched movies, television and podcasts by the hundreds. He had an unconventional childhood but television and movies had taught him about the world. it took him a while to learn the difference between fantasy and reality but once he did it allowed him a great escape from his problems.
"I read that musicals teach language because it stimulates both sides of the brain," Ethan suggested further but acknowledged that Bernice probably knew that already.
"Sorry, look...I am sure you have it covered but I would like to help," Ethan said and then turned to Ayala.
"Do you want me to help you learn words?" Ethan said while using his hands to signify himself and herself in the sentence. He felt silly but it was how Bernice was talking with slow words and pointing when appropriate. Ethan didn't know her back story but he had his own disabilities when he arrived sand he wanted to make the new student feel wanted like he had felt.
