07: Ayala (Ethan POV)

She had looked to stand but Ethan sighed relief when she just adjusted the spear's position. He was a bit jumpy after this morning's Danger Room session.

"Sorry, you are fine...just got spooked by your weapon. We don't normally have weapons in the common areas,:" Ethan said at Ayala but mostly at Bernice who as a teacher should have known better than allow a weapon into the refectory.

"Well, Ayala if you want to learn to speak; you need to hang out with kids your own age....plenty of language skills come from just immersion into a culture," Ethan suggested as he doubted any one person could teach a person to speak.

"Why can't one of the telepaths like upload a dictionary into her head?" Ethan suggested as grammar would be something she could learn in school but word exposure would be harder.
