07: Ayala

BERNICE SUMMERFIELD
Bernice was enjoying this so much, she was doing something no one else in the field of archaeology had ever done before, interacting with it. Actually talking to someone whose society and culture she would normally approach with a bunch of students and a trowel was amazing.
She was drawn to the young woman's fierce intelligence, and her natural sense of fun was all too evident when Bernice messed up on her pronunciation.
Bernice's idea was to discuss their own physicality, it was something they had in common. She did have one visual aide and that was a basic colour strip, she wasn't going near numbers. In the future she would need the input of a proper language teacher and probably a linguist to work out all the elements of Ayala's language.
