As an archaeologist the prospect of learning a language that had not been heard in thousands upon thousands of years was as enticing as it was unique.
"Ayala I would love to learn your words. I would be honoured. I will learn yours and you can learn mine."
It was getting late now and they should get some rest.
"We can start tomorrow morning. And I think it would be good for you to take a trip off campus with me. How does that sound?"
