Bernice guessed that the innate warrior in Ayala would consider a room with a view as a vantage point first.
"Ayala, we are safe here. No one can get close here. We are on an island. We have watchers that even a warrior like you would never see. So you do not have to be on your guard."
"She sick?" Ayala asks quietly, once she's sure they were out of earshot.
Bernice glanced back to the pair of people who had left. "Dee? Not sick not, but she is different." She leaned a little closer. "A lot of people here are different in some way. Do not feel threatened by anyone. Okay? You are safe here."
