Small Talk

Location: Ellisare Manor

Once they'd departed, Wally slipped his headphones back on and slid a microphone over. He turned it on and adjusted the output.

"HEY THERE FOLKS!" Wally's voice came on over the intercom. "HOPE YOU'RE ALL HAVING AN AMAZING TIME HERE AT THE BACK-TO-SCHOOL PARTY. BE SURE AND FIND YOUR HOST, MR. VAMIR ELLISARE. I'M YOUR DJ THIS EVENING, AND I'M GONNA KEEP THE GROOVES FLOWING SO THERE'LL BE PLENTY OF BASS TO GET THOSE BUTTS BOUNCING OUT THERE. DON'T WORRY THOUGH, KIDS, I'LL SLOW IT DOWN EVERY NOW AND AGAIN SO YOU CAN GET CLOSE -- YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN." Wally started the next track playing, fading it up slowly as he prepared to get off the mic. "AS AN ADDED BONUS, IN A FEW HOURS WE'LL GO LIVE WITH THE MIX, SO YOU CAN WATCH ME TEAR IT UP IN REAL TIME. IT'LL BE LIT. ALL RIGHT, GET OUT THERE AND GET MOVING." He brought the pulsing music up to full volume and pulled the headphones off.

Jack, Aello, Lily and Mia were now focused on the DJ on the speakers as he spoke to everyone. Mia smirked and nodded.

Mia: He's not bad. Looks like Vamir is pulling out all the stops with this party.

Jack: You two know this Vamir guy?

Lily: Not really.

Mia: Lily is still a bit shy with guys other than you Jack. However I know him since he trains at my family's dojo.

Jack: Oh I see........that would make sense.

Mia: Were you expecting a different reason?

Aello: I thought you were close friends.

Mia: More like classmates who share similar past times. After school and training we live in different worlds as you can see. I hear he travels around the world a lot.

Jack: I can see that.

Aello: So is Vamir someone you are interested in Mia?

Mia snickered then looked at Jack as she shook her head. Aello was confused by this comment.

Aello: Was I wrong?

Mia: Yeah I am picky about the guys I am into. Oh and its not Jack if you are thinking that. He already has two flowers on each arm.

Lily turned red with embarrassment. This made her look cute and adorable.

Lily: MIA!

Mia: What?

Mia snickered a bit at Lily then spoke up again as she noticed the food.

Mia: Oh is that Tuna Pate?

Aello giggled at the exchanged between Lily and Mia as Mia was getting some food. She then looked at Jack who was feeling nervous.

Aello: Are you hungry Jack?

Jack: I guess.

Joseph kept away from the crowd, sticking to the walls, he knew he should speak with people, but he wasn't going to start a conversation soon. Bevil hung around Joseph for a bit, until the lizard boy was snatched by his friends to go dance. Joseph waved his admirer as he was taken to have have fun.

Aello then grabbed a plate to get some samples for her to share with Jack. After seeing this Lily grabbed a plate to share with Jack as well. Jack as unable to refuse either girl so he obediently ate from their plates. Mia giggled at this exchange since seeing Jack getting bullied by two females was amusing to her. When she knew Jack back in elementary school he came off as an antisocial delinquent who would beat up the jerks in the school. This caused him to not make any friends. Since Mia was trained in her family dojo she was not threatened by Jack in the least and noticed him for an awkward guy trying to protect the weak. She supported her friend Lily despite her odd choice in guys.

Joseph noticed Jack, Mia, Lily and a blue dragon girl moving to a table. He smirked, "So that's Aello. A dragon wife, can't be true." His face went back to being normal, however as he was surrounded in the atmosphere, he couldn't help but feel, off.
He looked at Jack, Joseph's eyes glowed an electric red, much like the power he had. Seems Red X wanted to have a fight, and Jack was somewhat a beacon for the sadistic personality that Joseph had hidden.

Jack was unaware of Joseph and his internal struggle as he was hand fed by Lily and Aello. The two females were turning this into a small competition for understanding Jack's food preferences. He felt like a Guinee Pig as he was asked to rate the items he ate. Granted the food was amazing he felt very out of place being pampered in a fancy place like this.

Wally grabbed a plate and started loading up on goodies to take back to the DJ booth. He noticed Jack and the two girls with him. Aello got his notice because, wow, was that a dragon? And Lily got his notice because...damn...that girl was *stacked*.

"Hi there!" Wally greeted the trio. "You guys having a good time? Let me know if there's any jams I can get on the mix for you. I'm Wally, by the way...that was me on the PA just now." He chuckled.

Jack was glad for the interruption so he could finally swallow the food in his mouth.

Mia: Cool I'm Mia.

Lily: Oh thank you. I am Lily.

Aello: I am Aello Dragoline-Gomez and this is.....

Jack interrupted her as he spoke up.

Jack: I'm Jack. Nice to meet you.

Jack came off as awkward as he was trying to be polite but it sounded forced like he was in the middle of a nerve wracking job interview.

Something caught his eye and Wally looked over. He noticed a red-eyed kid staring right at the Jack, and looked between the two of them.

"Uh, hey, that dude somebody you know?" Wally gestured. "He seems to be lookin' at you or something."

Jack and the girls looked at Joseph then at each other. Lily then responded.

Lily: That's is Joseph. He is one of my neighbors.

Mia: Oh yeah now I remember. He doesn't talk much at school.

Aello: Do you know him Jack?

Jack shook his head no.

Jack: Not really. Not many students talked to me back then so I only know a few.

Mia: Jack was not popular. Most kids avoided him since they were afraid he would beat them up since he looked angry all the time.

Lily: Mia?

Mia: Oh come on Lily. You only over looked it cause he beat up that orc bully that made you cry all the time.

Lily: Well.......

Aello: But Jack has many good qualities too.

Lily: Yes he does.

Jack: Umm.....

Mia: I won't argue that, but not many will take the time to see that. Right Jack?

Jack: I guess.

Jack looked nervous from the conversation as he looked around.
