The Merchant of Grooves
Wally pulled up to the Silvertree Estate in his dad's RAV4, the back loaded to the brim with all of his DJ gear. He was glad that his parents had agreed to leave him a car -- it would have sucked to have to beg for a ride to get to the party.
"Daaaaamn." Wally's eyes widened at the palatial estate. "Dude's parents must be straight-up loaded."
A valet approached the car, then, and Wally rolled the window down. "Are you here for the party, sir? You're actually a bit early, but you're welcome to wait in the lobby."
"Actually," Wally grinned up at the man. "I'm bringin' the music." He gestured to the back of the vehicle. "Wally Kim? I'm DJ tonight."
"Ah, excellent, Mr. Kim. Please pull around to the side, and I'll have somebody come to help you get set up."
"Sweet..." Wally nodded. "Let's do this."
Wally parked where he was told and, as he'd been promised, a guy with a rolling cart showed up to help transport everything to the location. Wally busied himself setting up all of his various pieces of gear, running wires, checking connections, loading up sequences and suchlike. It all went pretty smoothly: The Silvertree Estate was super well equipped. And the location by the pool was super nice.
Wally looked up from his laptop when he noticed two people walking towards him. He recognized one of them as Vamir, the scion of the Silvertree clan, and the host of the party. He pulled his headphones off of his head, to rest around his neck and raised a hand in greetings.
Amber and Vamir waked up to Walter. Vamir was told that the DJs name was Walter Kim he was not a tall guy his Spiky blue hair made him stand out. "Kim, you ready? You can start your craft now the guest should start to arrive any time now," said Vamir.
"Hi there!" Wally grinned. "You can just call me Wally. Thanks for letting me do my thing here tonight." He clicked a button on his playlist on the laptop and the speakers around the pool area came to life: The initial selections were lighter, poppier EDM choices that were easy to dance to, but not too intense. He'd get a bit heavier when the party got into full swing. And he had some mixing to throw in as well.
"So, uh, nice to formally meet you, Vamir," Wally said, once the music had been started. He offered his hand to the host. "And uh, I don't think I know you?" He smiled at Amber. "Are you here with Vamir?"
