Brief History

Rather than allowing himself and his young bride to be dragged into the bloody infighting of the royal family. Evelynna's husband gave up on any claim to the throne and instead allowed himself and his family to be exiled to a remote territory of the Empire assuming the title of Duke of Winterlunde and putting the Winter Sea between him and his political enemies.

Several centuries later and well after the decline of the Empire the death of her husband the Duchess of Winterlunde still holds power over the whole of the Winterlunde safeguarding it peoples and treasures from would be Kings, A corrupt High Church and countless foreign usurper's.

The Duchess has access to a number of defensive magical items but is not known to carry any weapons on her person. She does have a number of highly skilled knights guarding her household as well as a pair of female bodyguards near her at all times.

Talents/Abilities/Advantages

While the Duchess is known to have some small magical talent she is not known for using it publically. The Duchess is perhaps better known for her control over the Merchant Guilds of the North and access to a vast number of magical items and artifacts.

As the Duchess of the Winterlunde, Evelynna also has direct control over a rather sizable defensive military force as well a naval fleet that controls the majority of the Winter Sea.

The Duchess is known to never allow herself to be alone in the company of any man who is not at least a family member or long time friend. When forced to agree to any kind of meeting there will always be advisors or bodyguards in attendance.
